We all knew the markets would nosedive following a Brexit and it appears that people have jumped on this bandwagon and started to think it was a massive mistake and it's all doom and gloom.
The markets will recover and the pound will strengthen. They always do.
There is an immediate £8.5m saving in EU contributions. This won't all go to the NHS but it will go somewhere.
Free trade with the EU will continue. You cannot compare us to Norway who has a tiny economy and had to concede on things like free movement. After Germany, we have the second largest economy in the EU and the 5th largest in the world. Countries will want to trade with us and we will be able to arrange favourable terms.
We will remain a key member of NATO.
Young people will still be able to study where they wish.
Jobs will still need filling by migrants but we will be able to choose from the world as opposed to just the EU.
There will be less strain on the NHS and schools. I took my lad to Rotherham A&E one Friday night to find the waiting room full of non- English people. That's not a racist comment, it is a fact. The hospital couldn't cope with the sheer number of people and it took over 3hrs to be seen. The drunks hadn't even rolled in at this point.
There will be a dip in the economy in the short term but we will come out stronger.
As a net importer of goods from the EU, we should be looking to secure free trade deals with the rest of the world quickly to reduce our dependence on the EU members. This will give strength to our elbow during negotiations.
I think this referendum has clearly illustrated that the ruling classes have taken the electorate for granted. They have not listened to the fears of ordinary people , because the issues effecting ordinary people do not affect the wealthy. You only have to look at the areas where the vote was to remain. Largely in London which is almost a foreign city now anyway, Cotswolds and areas where immigration has had little impact.
I live in South Lincolshire where Boston is renamed Bostonia and Wisbech, Wisbechistan, and to look at the map of how we voted its plain to see that these were the areas where vast numbers of Eastern Europeans have come to and I can tell you that the town centres of these places have become almost no go areas because of the large numbers of immigrants, mainly young , male and more often than not drunk. In many cases the scare stories, poo pooed by the middle class press and media, are in my experience largely true. People have had enough and are sick of feeling alienated in their own communities, it really is that bad. When people complain they were accused of being racist little Englanders
I'm not being racist when I say these things, I'm telling it as it is. I have no axe to grind with immigrants as such, I am the son of a Polish immigrant who came here with the army after the last war in 1947, I still have relatives in Poland, the problem is the numbers. The population is rising by 500,000 a year, thats a town twice the size of Rotherham each year. And over the last 10 years the population has grown by about 4.7million, mainly through immigration and it cant be stopped, because they are allowed in. You cant fit a quart into a pint pot. Its areas like where I live that has suffered most and its these areas which voted in overwhelming number to leave. Their only chance to say enough is enough.
And now the papers and television are full of horror stories and somehow trying to blame the 'out vote' on ignorance and stupidity. There was an 'out vote' from frustration, desperation, and a revolt against a system that does not listen and pays no attention to those at the bottom of heap already suffering austerity. The out vote was caused by the snobbish, well heeled, bourgeoisie, peering down from their ivory towers, unaffected by the social problems afflicted on others. The referendum was an attempt to shut the dissenters up once and for all, it back fired.
Rotherham town centre is exactly the same. Eastwood is full of Eastern Europeans and if they're all here to work then they sure work strange hours because the streets are full of people just hanging around no matter what time of day.
One of the top council officers once told me that the Asians own the houses but now rent them out to Eastern Europeans and you will often find 3-4 families living in one house. They have carried out checks on the houses to find pits carved into the kitchen floors where they light fires to cook and provide heat to save them using gas and electric.
I personally voted out because of the EU procurement rules for tendering for public work. They are horrible do***ents that take days, if not weeks to complete and then invariably it comes down to price anyway.
I had first hand experience of living next door to a house let to eastern europeans. It started out ok, they were Poles and knowing a little Polish I was able to communicate. I made friends with them, a married couple with a little girl and a couple of young lasses. They were fine good neighbours, and we helped them out with curtains and bits of furniture as well some of our daughters old toys. After about a month they disappeared to be replaced by Latvians and Lithuanians then the trouble started every few days different people would come in others would go.
We would be kept awake at night with noise of people coming and going all the while, hot bedding it was called, and every night drinking parties outside underneath our bedroom window. Cutting a long story short, being very rural we are not connected to the sewage system but still use cess pits. The pits couldnt cope with the amount of people living in a 3 bedroomed semi (we counted 14 people) and my back garden became water logged with raw sewage and we were over run with rats. One of the other neighbours called the council and the place was shut down as unfit for human habitation. The landlord told not to let the place again until he has spent money rectifying the squalid conditions. We took the opportunity to sell our house and we were forced to move out. It was a two year nightmare of noise, boozing, stench, fag ends and filth, that I was unable to do anything about except complain. We'd previously had good neighbours.
talking of lighting fires on the kitchen floor, I'm in the firefighter and been called to incidents involving Latvians and a trick they use is to take a lead from the phone socket and run it through oil held in a large tin, the small current heats the oil and the whole serves as a crude and dangerous radiator....free heat. and of course there was the incident I attended after 5 of them blew themselves up while distilling vodka and mixing it with industrial alcohol, I wont even mention the RTC's involving them in drink driving incidents.
Happy days for greedy landlords, and unscrupulous employers, misery for everyone else.
All real life examples that are but the tip of real life misery experienced by many.
I have been carjacked by 2 Roma women
I have been the victim of a crash for cash with a car load of refugees
I have been scammed by a Roma family on the motorway (failed attempt)
I have been threatened with death by Muslims because I didnt agree when they were abusing a drunk white man
I have been attacked in St Petersburgh by a gang of 20+ Romas and then chased for half a mile until I got to a mall.
Anyone can see that it does not make for a peacful coexistence.
what we need is controlled immigration
we should not be accepting exported criminals and immoral human beings

Blimey bad Roma people magnet. Even in leafy Exeter things have changed. I moved here 15yrs ago, my mam was amazed at how she could walk down the main drag in the city & everyone was white british, that's not racist it was a true observation. Now we have all walks of life mostly east Europeans and the housing that has gone up over the last 8-10 years is incredible - even a completely new town on the outskirts known as Cranbrook. 3 of my lads best pals at school are Slovak & Polish, and they're lovely - but its the sheer numbers - its changing our landscape. Remain prevailed here and its not hard to see why, Exeter is affluent and awash with Europeans. Look at the map its all down the M4 corridor into London. That should tell you everything you need to know on who benefitted most from the European project
Fed up of all the media and politicians blabbing on about it being a bad thing. It is the will of the people so shut the hell up and get on with your jobs.
Too true Heman, the media are really trashing the leave vote, they are implying that the leave vote was a result of the ignorant working class and look what they've done to the country after just 3 days. Theres also a growing movement amongst the Remain faction for a second referendum, presumably in the hope that the result will be different, but then what? do the leave faction campaign for a 3rd referendum to overturn the second? It getting hysterical.
The young are claiming that their future has been ruined. I thought their futures had been ruined under, first Thatcher and then Blair. Before these people got power there was free higher education for those who wanted it, complete with a cash grant to live on, and for those who went into work there was apprenticeships. As in Victorian times you have to be rich to go to Uni now or rely on the bank of mum and dad. If the young feel they have no future, dont blame it on the Leave vote.
Even the right wing Parliamentary Labour Party has gone into revolt using the situation to unseat a democratically elected leader, when they themselves failed in the last two general elections and lost the Labour heartland of Scotland to the SNP, when they should be exploiting the weakness in the Conservatives to strengthen Labours position. Who are they there for? Themselves or the people who elected them?

That's bang on.
As far as I know we are still a democracy and not a twitter puppet state.
The people have spoken, the Government and also the opposition need to respect this and get on with it.
The older end are less likely to be swayed by piffle posted on websites.
The young by definition are naive and lacking the experience of spotting the lies and inconsistencies spread by politicians and spin doctors.
Bizarrely to some I voted leave because of the young not to spite them or sell them out. The U.K. was clearly following a path to ruin and it needed a change of ideas and course. Short term it will cost me money but long term we will do fine and as the young get older they will look back at the vote and think "thank God the oldies knew what they were doing"

Have you been stalking Roma's Ian?
Its a reasonable question given the evidence.
i MIGHT WELL BE DELUSIONAL!
My wife, Romalena says that I can go into stupors only to return days later with onions and garlic, strange motifs stuck to me and brandishing a pamphlets about joining the caravan club in GB and Europe.
Maybe you should stop wearing your Roma gypos go home t shirt.
The vote in my view was clearly the ignorant working class vote expressing racist views, lack of understanding of the subject of the vote, being easily manipulated and voting anti establishment on matters nothing o do with EU membership.
say what you want to try and avoid the truth..It was a working class racist vote and old deluded old people wanting to return to 'how it was'
Just look what they have caused..political and financial chaos with rising prices, job cuts and a recession a certainty.
