Didn't blame the attack on the Man Utd bus for the defeat in his post match interview and even pointed out that Man utd were 2-1 up to highlight that the players were not effected.
He gets a lot of stick but always is very honest and direct in his interviews.
One more thing about the nauseating, sickly and over sentimental farewell at the Upton Park: I wonder why they didn't ask away fans throughout the country to give their memories of visiting the stadium?
Is it because most people would have said that it was a violent hell-hole filled with psychotic c ockneys hellbent on attacking the away fans?

my god here is a first i actually agree with ttb hate the place
An accurate assessment worth a reply. The FA should hit the club hard - this kind of behaviour has to be policed by peers who actually care for the club.
Think about it - just one smashed window and Blind ends up blind for real. I don't agree with points deductions for this but an edict to pursue and convict these idiots together with a lifetime ban is a minimum. The bill for this should be laid squarely at the West Ham door.
There is definitely a myth about 'Upton Park under the floodlights' and years of romance. It is being massively over hyped. It has always been a threatening place to go as a visitor, not a million miles from The Den in terms of personal safety issues.
The only people who will really miss it are West Ham fans themselves. The MUFC bus incident won't come as a great surprise to anyone who has been there as an away supporter. But they are a London club aren't they, so they will get off lightly.
The journos should spend a bit more time and energy getting to the bottom of how they managed to get the deal they did for the new stadium.
Van Gaal is just a bit odd, but he did deal with that incident well.
Went there last time in Championship, not a bother at all, no one said a blind word to me or the mates, of course they ve got a reputation but nothing like Millwall, they re just nobs who believe their own BS
Funnily enough we got into the away end by mistake with shirts and scarfs on but no bother. Believe it or not it took a few minutes for us to realise. We found a steward who took us through the crown and on to the pitch to the Millers faithful . No problem at all.
