Forest Unlucky Tonight

Just watched Forest and thought they were unlucky tonight. Will be a stiff test on Saturday but Derbyshire's and Ward (G) pace might be their undoing, seemed unable to cope when Knockheart came on and had a go at them. Blackstock and Lansbury looked dangerous - but I'm thinking we can do it. Watched Wednesday afterwards and they looked shambolic, hopefully imploding! :)

Everyone is a stiff test in this league. Trust is Colin to have them prepared. No doubts we will lose games before the end.

Yes agree NY.

They have had a topsy-turvy season again but have the luxury of having always just enough for this league. Of course, Forest fans and players have different expectations and their season has been way below par.

I'd start with Jerome Thomas against them and move Derbs inside a little again. Obviously that pushes the team a little more forward so it puts pressure on both teams. Best needs to start again and depending on cir***stances we do have a couple of option now with ward, and Derbyshire able to switch .

Mattock has been very good lately . Would anyone start Joe?

Big question for me is the right back position!

I didn't see the Forest game so can't comment on that. I do think that NW will keep the same 451 formation though because the players are getting better and better at playing it. Derbyshire is asked to join Best/D Ward as often as he can from the left and G Ward is an outlet on the break. Newell in for Frecks. They will all have had a week to rest. My only criticism would be that with the three in midfield we should at times keep the ball better than we do. We will be a bit fresher than Forest and that can make a difference. Right back has been a problem position all season. I think it is a fact though that we haven't lost a game that Kelly has played in and for me he is our best right back by a distance. He was at times given a chasing by Murphy of MK Dons but that was just a pace thing which is what it is. I doubt that Richardson or Buxton would have fared any better. Positionally Kelly is good and his decision making is sound. Whether he is the answer there in the long term I don't know. I suspect he is a better centre half than full back but for now leave it be.
