One change Halford for Derbyshire, play him in midfeld. Won't play Buxton so Doyley at Right back.

Don't worry about Swift Hillsborough. He will never make it as a player. A boy in a mans league. Why we wasted time giving him one appearance I will never know.

I think it is a mistake to think that playing more strikers means you are more likely to score goals and win. They would be starved of the ball and stood round looking at each other, and we would get overrun at the other end.

Give the punters what they want NW and go for a good old fashioned 442, pick Halford so he can bombard them with long throws, go back to front quickly and compete fiercely, and see what happens. I will go along with that in the short term if needs must.

I like the sound of 3 up front. Let's play the long ball game and hoof it at every possibility. We can't be any worse than we have been recently.

If we had any young players I would give them a go. Get Thorpe in and give Yates a go, at least as a sub if we need to bring a forward on, and alongside somebody experienced like Best who might help him out. Same with Dawson. Can they do any worse than we have been doing? Who knows - it might at least give us something to cheer and provide a spark. I would rather see that than a bunch of thirty somethings on loans or short term deals who I can't identify with.

A team with a goalscorer in it will do for me.
