Thought he was immence on saturday, can't grumble about his second yellow but the first booking was clearly wrong.

He should have had more of a chance under the previous two managers in my opinion, his commanding of the back four when he hasn't even got the armband on shows his leadership quality's,He challenged for every ball and looked comfortable bringing the ball out at his feet.

Well done Richard, would have been my MOM despite the red card.

I think it's one of the few topics where we are unanimous. Richard Wood was underrated by the previous two managers.

Agree with second yellow. First yellow was pap. The lad had already shot, gone for a shower, had his tea, then came back onto the field of play, took up his position and then dived before Wood got a yellow.

It has been a long standing mystery why he hasn't been given more of a chance, particularly when you look at who has played at centre back instead of him from time to time. He is better on the ball than he would get credit for and no doubt he is a good organiser and very combative. All good qualities. He does lack a bit pace-wise and he is a very big unit. Perhaps this might result in him being a fraction late into the challenge sometimes and might make his challenges look a bit clumsy. That was certainly the case for the second yellow. It wasn't a deliberate foul or a bad one, but it didn't look great, especially when Donaldson milked it. Overall though he has qualities, including experience, that we might well need in the coming weeks.

what we have seen not just at the millers but elsewhere as well is that Managers have favourites and as supporters we regularly think why is so and so playing instead of so and so.Richard Wood ,for whatever reason was disliked by the previous managers.I saw him last season when he came on as a sub and could not understand why he did not get more games and as for sending him out on loan-confuseconfuse.thank goodness he may be getting a run.

Agree!

His qualities were there for all to see.

Good addition for this last part of the season. Looks way better than Rawson and collins for me.

woods at bolton was the best of a bad bunch

lets face it we have to start planning for next season as good as broadfoot is time will catch him up no matter what league we are in broadfoot collins wood whole to coming to end of their careers and the championship is showing their lack of pace postioning is good but have been getting caught out

we need to start to blooding thorpe in or get shut rawson would you want to sign him

Why did he get sent off? Slow in thought & deed. Not a championship defender.
