Warnock is our last throw of the dice. He's the best candidate by far and the chairman should be delighted that NW is interested in coming to rescue our wretched season, first under Evans88 and then Redfearn.
The only stumbling block I can envisage is this:
NW has been there, he's done it several times over BUT he doesn't want to be advised or shackled by the know-nothings on the Technical Committee. It's high time this preposterous organization is mothballed until the end of the season, if not for all time. TS knows absolutely zilch about football and if Richard Stewart has picked up everything he knows from his father than he'll also know zilch.
The Committee should swallow their pride and give Warnock room to manoeuvre and utilize his knowlege and expertise to the full. However, if they screw up...then they'll pay a very heavy price if we're relegated.
but as we all know power is easy to give but hard to take away. i hope this technical board realise we are in a crisis and committees never work well in a crisis

What is the actual function of this 'committee' that doesn't take place other than the usual route of player acquisition?
The reason why this works at Southampton and other places is they have a Chief Exec & Director of Football, so there is a model there that is long term irrespective of who is manager. The pool & resources, data and funding is off this planet compared to our Football Manager database, they're also targeting and vetting potential management changes before they even happen, they already know who will replace Koeman.
With us I'd imagine we spend a lot of time scouting and pursuing failures. Its bound to happen, when Paul Douglas says no to 95% of everything as he's failed to agree terms. Comes with the territory when you're unable to financially back your position in the market. Many moons ago I was a sales rep for a power tools firm, the most common complaint from small tool shops was we're buying it for more than what B&Q are selling it for. That is our position. We have to find a way to minimise waste as much as possible and continue to fight to survive until our infrastructure grows. When you've got a ceiling of customers that is at least 50% of those in your market its the only way you can try and level it out. We have to remember the TV money means nothing as everyone gets it.
Its good the club are seeking ways to minimise waste after the Evans debacle but whatever this committee is doing its already made too many mistakes to inspire confidence that the function works - seems more like smoke & mirrors
Passed this opinion many times in previous posts about no one at club knows b*****r all about football we are all team managers but if we are honest we would fail , I believe Redders failed because of constraints of having to work with people who may be good in business but in football not got a clue .
TS has got to let whoever it is (please be Warnock) have absolute power over the team and players that includes any loan player's he wants to bring in , they stand back and admit this b*****y committee idea as not worked its already cost one decent football man his job next it will cost the cub its championship status , and a long with that we will lose at least 2500 off gates which is something we can't afford .
Who actually sits on this Technical Board? Any ideas?
Other board members include chairman Tony Stewart, vice-chairman Richard Stewart, chief operating officer Paul Douglas, commercial boss Steve Coakley and head of recruitment Gee Evans.
Ian, thanks for the list and what a sorry bunch of individuals they make. Not a shred of footballing knowledge between them. Some, however, would speak up for Gee Evans and then quickly realize what utter fools they'd made of themselves. I'd like to ask how many of Evans88's recruits were down to Gee but fear the answer.
Grainger Webster Lyons Towner Sedgwick ; what an illustrious collection of right wingers . Finney (mainly for his goals rather than his wing play) could've been included too if his career hadn't ended prematurely. Eagle-eyed fans will have spotted the absence of a certain Neil Warnock. Neil was lacking in playing terms but has more than made up for it in managerial terms. His record is remarkably good and he's laying it before a set of bozos who...well who knows what goes through the average bozo's head.
Kempo, many thanks for your cordial greeting. Even though I'm not eating or drinking at the moment I do, nevertheless, have one serviette on my lap and another tucked into my T shirt. It's the very least I can do for Millers Banter. As for Millers Mad...I gave up on them a long time ago. The standard of posting on there is abject to say the least. I'm being too kind to the majority of their members? I suspected as much.
