Inevitable I'm afraid, don't understand why some fans thought Tony Stewart would not sack him. After all he sacked Ronnie Moore after the Chesterfield debacle a few years ago when we were still in a Play Off place.
I have no doubt that Neil Redfearn is a thoroughly decent man and an excellent youth team coach, but Championship Manager, no way. I have watched the Miller's home and away for over 65 years and seldom have I seen such negative tactics employed both home and away from any Rotherham Manager. And before anyone attacks me for that statement, yes I do remember t h e Danny Begara, George Kerr, Norman Hunter, Dave Cusack era. Redfern was tactically inept and his substitutions were unfathomable. As for his signings , a pretty mixed bag some were poor the others let's wait and see. If we can get Becchio and Best off the treatment table and on to the pitch they may still turn out to be good signings. Thank you for your efforts Neil and had you been just appointed to bring young players through I am sure you would have been successful.

The problem is where do we go from here. Do we appoint somebody short term to try to bring about the great escape, or do we look for a longer term solution. Is Stuart Gray the short term solution or even the bookies second favourite Neil Warnock though I doubt Neil would come. I do not see either of these names as the long term solution. We need somebody in who can tighten us up defensively and who can motivate the players to be up for the scrap that we need to be involved in between now and the end of the season. It is not impossible for us to stay up but we will need to see a hell of a lot more fighting spirit from the players in the last 16 games than we have seen previously. If we see that from the team I know that we the fans will be right behind them. We need to stand up and be counted but so do the players.

Gotta agree wi that Towd, my first thoughts were Warnock, spent a lot of time round the club recently. On Redfern, shocked, really shocked, didnt think the board had that bigger balls t make a change with 16 games to go. Is it right, time will tell, lets see who comes in and whom they blame should it all go pete tong

we clearly need a very big personality and a respected manager to get us out of this. The standard response wont do it.

I looked in glee at the appointment that Bristol City have just made. One any miller be happy with that appointment. I doubt it
