Well, how good did that feel?

A great performance from the lads last night, everyone had a very good game and we made one of the leagues better sides look ordinary.  In particular Mattock who is looking more and more like the defender we thought we had signed, very impressed with his energy getting forward in support.  Broadfoot was once again a colossus he should be our captain, everything about his game screams leader his little run forward looked like he has taken lessons from Arnie, it was brilliant.  First time I've seen Belaid but he looks like a good acquisition nice that we have found a permanent replacement for Rawson and that Collins should never get a start again this season.  Green putting the Ipswich debacle now well and truly behind him back to his industrious best - he was everywhere, hunting. pressing and driving.  Up front Ward and Derbyshire ran for everything, very impressed with Danny lately, his strength gave their CB's a torrid time and he's scoring goals.  Only black mark yesterday was Facey, looked OK first half but gave the ball away three times in quick succession in dangerous areas mid way through the second.  Was rightly subbed at that point.

The stats don't lie, Brighton were well beaten by a better team.  Can we keep it up?  Seven more wins should do it.

I thought the pressing from all over the pitch was superb, the guys in mid-field ran themselves into the ground. Make no mistake, Brighton are a very, very good side however, we did not give them time to breath in the first half and to actually score a couple of minutes before half time was a welcome reversal from what usually happens then, to top it all off, how good for us were the other results last night????
A fantastic team performance, the crowd were excellent and the management decisions before and during the game were spot on, absolutely loved it!!!!!!

Well i cant really say as i did set off to come to the match last night but due to everybody else on the road being inconsiderate and having accidents and being centre lane hoggers / finishing work etc, i had to turnaround and go home after 2 hours, i had only just got to the other side of Brum by just gone 6 and traffic wasn't getting lighter either

I listened when i got back just as the match was kicking off, yes over 3 and half hours for nothing. i wont even get that back either.

But what i have seen , 2 defensive mistakes for the goals, strikers in the right positions, which is a good sign.

Also i heard Green was being effective in midfield as well according to the commentary, never thought i would say that.

Roll on QPR Saturday, and i may after recent home matches have to eat my words about preparing for Lg1.

Felt great - agree with OP.

Captain Kirk has turned himself into a brilliant centre half. It shows how playing out of position can ruin you. He must have hated playing right back. Now Arnie has gone he is top dog.

Not to mention Green. To be honest I thought he had played his last game for us. I'm glad I was wrong. Very impressive.

The fact that they had set both our goals up - does that make us lucky? No, it means we forced the mistakes. We deserved the win.

Great stuff.

Glad to see my Man, Green show what he can do.

Agree about Mattock, he can deliver a good ball and get up and down, which is the absolute minimum at this level.

All in All it showed something I though was drifting away from us-team spirit. I could not see a result last night, especially due to all the injuries , but it goes to show what is possible.

Still quite a gap to those above us and no gap at all below us but with wins like this we can conceivable go a little higher.

There is still a lot to do of course and we wait with baited breath to see what other teams do in the transfer market and not forgetting a few managers who must be now really sweating on their jobs.

well done Rotherham United.
