people will over react seen on facebook people saying he needs to go, don't agree at all we need stability until end of season then lets see, if we go down easily and keep losing every week then he shouldn't be the man in league 1, if we fight to the end and just fail and we are playing decent football give him a go next year. We were always going to lose today and not bothered about the cup to be honest. There are a few things that should concern us

1. shocking team selection again, the league is what matters we have lots of injuries we should have played a much weaker team and rested players for tuesday, some teams made 9 changes today.

2. Conceding goals at either end of a half, this is getting stupid now. The first ten and last ten of each half we have to be able to play tighter and minimise the goals we concede. For me it shows the players are nervous and lack confidence as well as poor training.

3. 3 defeats on the trot when we don't win we lose, that is very worrying.

Anyway Tuesday is the big game for me, let us see what happens

up the millers

We couldn't afford to continue in the FA Cup. It's too much of a distraction.

To be fair, Redfearn probably couldn't win on the team selection issue. If he'd picked a significantly weakened team there would have been complaints from people who'd paid to go if we'd got hammered.
What is concerning however, are your other two points about conceding goals late in each half and becoming habitual losers.
I didn't go to Leeds so can't comment on the performance today but the reporter on Sky Sports News suggested we were on top for a while but not taking our chances. That is becoming a worryingly common refrain and is something that needs correcting urgently if we are to have any chance of staying up. If we don't score, obviously we can't win but we know we will probably lose because we never manage to hold out for a draw.
I want Redfearn to succeed and I want to be encouraged by his efforts to date but it's bloody difficult because I can't see any discernable improvement so far.
I'll stay on the fence for a bit longer but I think a lot of supporters are becoming increasingly disillusioned and may turn on the manager if we don't get something out of the next couple of games. UTM.

Today is irrelevant.

It won't have a bearing on the next game.

We lost and that's as far as it goes for me.

Conceding goals at those times is very common indeed. I don't think it is a particular issue about mentality-it's more to do with the pressure building up. Teams are on top at different times  and this shifts througout the game. Better teams will finish on top or control the game. We aren't a better team so will be vulnerable to pressure points in the game.

Take a look around any given full fixture list and you will see the amount of goals conceded at crucial times.

Personally I couldn't give a monkeys about the cup. I agree with Mellow about the selection - damned if he did and damned if he didn't. The failure to create and take clear cut chances when we are on top is a concern away from home. Also the problem with the timing of goals is a concern. It must be a mindset thing. We see the clock and sit deep trying to hang on for a few minutes and we invite pressure on. Changing that mindset is easier said than done. It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. You almost expect to concede, so you get anxious, so you make bad decisions and concede. We need to snap out of it.
