The post makes me think about my own expectations in relation to our club.

In leagues 2 and 1 we were often and rightly excited by signings and this has been true for us throughout our history at those levels , so in contrast I sudden realised it's just not the same at this level.

Bournemouth are such an incredible exception and in general when small teams get to that leven maybe the odd signing is truly inspiring but right now at this level I've accepted it will be very rare indeed to be inspired . That being said, some of the actual football we have played over the last two seasons has been great to see and thus inspiring from a team point of view.
