Lee Camp is a very good shot stopper and his commitment to the cause is evident.  I do think though that he still has problems dealing with high balls into the box.  Opponents are getting headers in on our goal from inside our six yard area from their corners and free kicks.  At Preston the first goal came from the ball looping up in the air six yards out.  Camp started to come for it then changed his mind, their player headed it back across goal and in it went.  The own goal came from a long looping throw, again into the six yard box.  Everyone know it was coming.  My own opinion is that he could have taken command of both situations and dealt with them.  The problem is that when you have that Achilles heel it makes the back four nervy, and other teams are smart enough and have the quality to exploit it.  I suspect it was part of Preston's thinking when they decided at half time - as they clearly did- to put balls into our box from all angles.  I like Lee Camp, but being constructive this is a part of his game that he could improve to our benefit.

Camp has been the same his whole career. He's what they call a liner and will never change. For a goal keeper he's not the biggest but that's what makes him quick and nimble and a great shot stopper. If he had both qualitys we wouldn't be able to afford him. Myself out of the current 11 he'd be one of the last to change.

I wouldn't change him either Fliker, but he can do better.  Starting to come for a high ball then stopping is a cardinal sin for a keeper.  He has to leave his line sometimes.  Also, if he is going to be a 'liner' we must play and hold a higher line with our back four so that we don't end up with crosses being contested on our six yard line.  That worries me with a lack of pace at centre back.  We have to change something otherwise we will remain very easy to put under pressure and score against.
