Nice one Redfearn,

Does that mean that Collins will never be first pick, i do hope so.

Thank god, the thought of Collins coming to the fore filled me with dread - still need another though if Wood is deemed surplus, which is odd, did well at Boro (with Broadfoot) and at Swansea (with who I forget) against that ugly Frenchman and kept Dyer quiet.

I think Redfearn's day, every day, must start with "so tell me again, who exactly can I pick the team from ?"

I've certainly lost the plot... injuries, players we are talking to about contracts (e.g. Buxton), players we have suspended ourselves, players coming out of the contracted loan period, players we have transfer listed.... I don't know when the Manager will have a settled view of his squad, and if we don't do some other good business this month it might be not until we are in League 1, but it's not helping his cause that’s for sure...

UTM

p.s. I don't give a hoot about this weekend’s FA cup... other than I’d be tempted to play as much of our reserve team (if we have such a thing with so many players out) as possible to prevent any further injuries...

Davidedin your spot on he must have to change his preferred starting 11 weekly.
Send the youth team out and pay the fine.

Dead right about the cup tie. Play Collin, Wood, Collins, Ledesma, Derbyshire, Halford (back with us for now apparently), Warren Mason, a couple of other juniors and Warney. Couldn't give a monkeys about it. Seriously, the run out will do the fringe players good game time.

Hopefully Grant Ward and Andreu won't be allowed to play by their parent clubs either, so they can have a breather.

 Good post.

One part agrees with the FA Cup thingy not being where its at but I do think a team needs to lay together as much as possible so Im going to buck the trend and say that whoever can play should.

I think it makes a huge difference when two teams play each other and one has fresh legs and the other doesn't. It worked for us at the end of last season when we played a knackered Reading in a crunch game for us, and it worked for us earlier this season when we won at Birmingham after we had a free week but they put their best eleven out midweek against Villa in the league cup. Brighton are at Hull on Saturday. If they play a first eleven and we keep ours fresh I would really fancy us come Tuesday night.

Good evidence-in that case lets deputise the coaching staff.
