who worries that after several decent performances that our luck will come to an end ( yes we have rode our look in a few games before we have took the lead) and we will come down with a bump. I'm probably just a natural pessimist.

I think you may be a pessimist, but considering the season so far you can hardly be blamed. From what I have heard and seen on youtube we have been playing very well and there is no need to think that this is an accident. Obviously we will have bad games and even lose but I am more optimistic for the future.

You're not the only one Fliker, a born pessimist, but these improved performances, starting to score goals and keeping clean sheets, and results going our way yesterday, I'm beginning to get a bit giddy. I keep looking at the league table with some idea that if I keep looking I might see a point or two extra. You'd have thought I'd learned something at my age

I think the results have all been deserved. I have a very simply philosophy.; the table never lies.

This is without doubt a tough league. You have to be consistent to get anything. We have had a couple of better performances but we are still only as good as our league position.

Today's game at Fulham will rightly have Fulham as favourites. Any result will be good and a win very good. Same against Preston who are flying now and have made a few excellent additions to the team. Realistically you aren't being pessimistic.nothing has been proved yet. We haven't got any reason to suppose we will avoid relegation yet.

TBH apart from the Huddersfield game, the last few games have restored a lot of pride, both for the players & management AND the fans, we've got a fighting chance now, & the upcoming transfer window may well determine whether we stay up or not.

I don't agree that our recent results have anything to do with luck.

Kirk Broadfoot and Lee Frecklington being in the side have been the difference. I will go as far as to say that James Maclean going running to mummy has cost us points. The FA giving the most ridiculous ban ever has cost us points.

as for luck, the MK Dons had 3 shots on goal and scored 4. We used all our bad luck up in one game.

Kirks a bit accountable for that himself Heman, but I know what you mean. Fair play to him he has been very good recently. We need a bit of luck at times and certainly against Hull we had a bit, but on the other hand we were a bit unlucky to lose narrowly to Wolves and Blackburn. We seem to be fairly solid and unlikely to ship goals in big numbers, so we are in games competing. The way we are setting up now suggests we should be a good counter attacking side away from home, and I can feel at least one away win coming on this week. COYR!!!

And back down to earth with a bump. A 4-1 defeat sounds bad, but according to BBC's stats, we had more efforts on goal than Fulham, more corners & as many efforts on target, so perhaps the result was a bit harsh, but it shows that Fulham could take their chances & defend better than us.

what luck is that, we get hammered every game away from home. we had one good away result and they missed a bucket load that day

Didn't go. Listened to full match commentary. It sounded like we gave as good as we got in an open game but they took their chances and we didn't. Hard to take but that can happen. Not going to get too uptight about it.

It always happens but it's out of the way now. It's as if we get too confident and take our foot off the gas ( not that I went or listened) play at 80-90% but a kick up the backside will refocus them, onwards and upwards.

I listened and it sounded as if we just defended badly.

Fulham were clinical.

We weren't that bad last night. We were undone by a better team.

I think we were too open and even before the game I though we should have been more cir***spect especially with the new manager syndrome.

However, our away form needs to improve dramatically-we aren't in the games very often. Preston have added some forward play to their obvious tactical strengths. Redfern needs to set the team up to counter attack with hopefully best and JCH available for the away days.
