Ian - you need to edit your predictions - you've got some of the fixtures wrong eg you've got Brighton and QPR both playing twice on same day (instead of Burnley and Birmingham). Looks like MMM has adopted your list so you might need to edit as well pal.
It was a hell of a christmas period. Not only were the predictive qualities of the football genius streched and under scrutiny but the ability/inability to multi-task was also on display. Quite a few fell victim to the last minute shopping trap and in a mad rush ran out of the store without noticing theyd left aunt edna's bath balm behind. Indeed, such was the stress in sickly's life that he managed to forget a whole weeks shopping and didnt get any of those special extras either. Others to fall foul were GHF and TLA (understandably as they were in the pub for a full 5 days flat) , they both missed boxing day and the start of the January sales.
You will notice I have not awarded any points for those who predicted Middlesbrough to go undefeated. The reasoning I employed was to think what a bookmaker would do and since they did not complete all 3 fixtures I reckoned they would be considered void. Of course, if a majority tell me I am being too efficacious then please post on this thread and I will award the points. I hope you think that is fair and festive.
Once again thank you for playing and may I wish everyone more success than 2015-some of you clearly need all the luck you can get.
40 Points for 3 week winners=no winners
25 Points for 2 week winners=no winners
15 Points for 1 week winners=S8, Smiler and Sickly Child.
20 points for 10/10s=no winners
20 points for picking an undefeated team=no winners (Ipswich,Wolves-won all, Leeds, Forest, Huddersfield, Middlesbrough-void?
25 points for picking a team to lose all games=no winners (blackburn)
I accept your point about Middlesbrough/Blackburn, but think the bonus points should be awarded retrospectively if the rescheduled fixture ends up with Middlesbrough winning.
Nice to be consistent and end up top of the grand total, and all without a bonus point in sight.
