We were excellent today and played some good football rather than just hoofing it which was pleasing to see. Rode our luck at times but deserved the win on the balance of play.

Hard to pick a man of the match as each player contributed to an all round great performance but Broadfoot again excellent in central defence, you wonder where we would have been had he not been banned for the first 10 games.

It makes the Huddersfield performance all the more frustrating but three points on Boxing day and the great escape could well and truly be back on.

we are all exhausted and relieved I think.

I thought about starting a thread but Im just happy to go with THANK GOD!

We were darn good though and despite what the Hull fans will say we beat a team costing 59 Million quid who also played quite well and we deserved the 2 goal win.

Midfield were superb really apart from G.Ward who at times has the physical presence of a feather. That aside he contributed well enough. D. Ward was simply outstanding and yet again all one can say is that his motivation is the only thing that lets him down. My current favourite player (now that Greeny has been consigned to changing rooms duty) Mr Newell was also superb. How he goes past players like he does and receives the ball is a marvel of quantum mechanics but he somehow manages to pull it off.

Also, mention to all the defence. They were all tight and committed throughout. Broadfoot yet again looked just strong, solid, and focused for the whole 93 minutes. superb that man.

Lastly, Mr Redfern, he pulled off one of those outstanding performances with great tactical awareness and clearly got them motivated. He clearly has the ability but like D.Ward needs to show it more often.

well done all.
