Met him at Burton Albion 3 years back when he was in his last season as Goalkeeping coach for Oxford before his retirement at the age of 75. I asked for his autograph, and he laughingly said, "One things for sure Lad, that's the only one you'll get today which you can actually read" True Sheffield United legend R.I.P __________________

His playing days were before my time. Only reading about him now do I appreciate what a very good goalkeeper he must have been, and what a great servant he was to The Blades. A great career in football as player and coach, and seemingly much admired and respected. __________________
