MILLERS BANTER PREDICTION LEAGUE FIXTURES( NO 19)

Permalink

Its easy to predict a winner. Theres not much to it really. Just follow the trend. Its not so much of a prediction as it is an observation.

Predictions are another mans foretelling of the future and yet another s hypothesis.

Football has always been glamorous but it took several Decades before the first real Glamour and footballs first world wide star was born. That was George Best whom we have just remembered on the anniversary of his sad death 10 years ago.

The money and lifestyle he had and the ability to rise beyond the game and still flourish was a portent of future excess and destruction.

I notice Bolton are finally suc***bing to the inevitable as 10 years on from their fall from grace the shutters have finally crumbled and a peek inside the home reveals the waste of a thousand parties.

A little south and Manchester City continue to rise like a Monster from an ancient Greek myth-soon to eclipse their nemesis and the Kingdoms in the south.

Elsewhere in the Kingdom the poor but noble masses go hungry and cold. Many still believe but few come and new generations are increasingly lost to bright lights and loud noises and the lure of fame. Its mass hypnosis. Its a totalitarian system. A Baby duck will imprint on the first bright, noisy, moving thing is sees. And from far away the brightest and loudest object is projected everywhere into the eyes, and ears of countless new Ducklings.

They cant take our pride, so the hungry heart yells.

No, they cant, but they can slowly make it all but pointless...

Still, I cant leave you feeling suicidal. There are indeed many good things about the modern game. Who, for instance can deny the wonder of seeing a female lino...one day...

This weeks Bonus reflects the shift in power from top to Bottom and Bottom to Top-the inevitable circle of life.

From all the fixtures below you will notice several former powerful dynasties that have fallen from Thrones of splendor and Kingdoms of privilege:

Wolves

Cardiff

Bolton

Leeds

Fulham

Brighton

Hull

Blackburn

Charlton

Forest

20 Billion Pounds is again up for grabs. Predict how many glory hunters (supporters) will be in attendance for the following clash of the Titans.

Bonus Prediction: Leeds V Hull

Lemmings to the Cliff= 26.540

Scoring:

20 Points within 300

15 Points within 600

10 Points within 1000

Week 19 results with 2 left to play...

Congratulations to Exeter and Sickly Child who with just 2 games from week 19 left top our listings. A worthy mention goes to the 3 Amigos; Ex, Smiler and Sickly for getting very close to the attendance at Bellend road , but, remarkably Sickly was just 18 (doing the 92) fans away from a plasmatic maximum conundrum.

Here are the rest of the brave and destitute.

Exeter=41+20=61

Sickly Child=41+20=61

Andy Monium=36+15=51

Unifier=36+10=46

The Loan Arranger=29+15=44

Millmoor Magic=29+15=44

Worcester=26+15=41

Smiler=19+20=39

Glass Half Full=29+10=39

Ian=33+0=33

One a Day=21+0=21

S8=17+0=17

Nez=11+0=11

Scores and the table updated tomorrow.
