Agree 100%. When he joined us he was quick and that was it. He built up his strength, always gave his all and had the priceless knack of being in the right place at the right time. He did a great job for us.
He was a good professional and he had the attributes of hard work, speed and the will to succeed. We saw him build up his strength and that was great to see.
On the minus side he was not a Rotherham United player. I talked to him twice and always noted his family at the games. He was here with itchy feet and never felt settled. His heart was not at Rotherham. He did not have the personality or rapport to lift him up above normal.
I'll clap him but he doesn't deserve a superb reception in my heart. He was just another pro.

I had to double take when I read that Ian. He struggled to get a regular game for almost a full season until he forced his way in by working hard and scoring vital goals. Generally played out of position. Never moaned (not publicly or visibly anyway) and got the maximum out of himself by sheer hard work, all to our benefit. He never gave less than his all. Any player who does that gets my utmost respect. Was a top scorer in League 1 mostly off the right wing. We signed him for nothing and turned a big profit on him and I never heard or saw him say a bad word about the club when he moved or since. He just gets his head down. A few players past and present could follow his example. If Ben Pringle was worth a decent reception for example then Agard is worth a red carpet.

Happy me: Nice TSR2 avatar, now there is a project which should never have been cancelled. have you seen the one at Cosford?
Back on topic. I will applaud him on Saturday, he helped us get promotion but to say when he moved that he wasn't good enough for the championship and then move to Bristol City is a bit lame, then ironically they get promoted the following season, I think for what its worth that SE was the issue in regard to Agard.

fraid not Worcester,I remember being really disappointed in my teens when it was scrapped. With regards to Agard I was sorry to see him go,definitely good enough for the Championship and you could be right about the SE factor.
I remember day's when former player's no matter how good they were got a polite welcome before game but when it started we just gave them total abuse , ahh good old days .

Tend to agree Ian. I remember at the time the arguments about getting him to stay, but he was going and that was that. Some say it was money others the SE factor and there was even a suggestion he left to be a big fish in a little pond, but either way he just didnt want to stay with us, but it was the beginning of the dismantling of a very successful squad.
I will neither clap him or boo him unless his behaviour warrants it
To be frank he was here for two years
1st year a bit part player off the bench
2nd year came into his own and top scorer. but as other have said para phrasing what the juda oaf has quoted from his agent that he wouldnt be staying
agard is total different kettle of fish to revel and pringle morgan
His bit part in year 1 was important though Hillsborough. He got a spree of vital goals in a run of wins right at the end of the season when we needed them after not getting much of a chance earlier on.
I agree that he is a different kettle of fish to Revell, Pringle and Morgan. None of those three are good enough for the Championship and he is. In saying that I don't mean to have a go at Revell and Morgan who were terrific for us.
