Have we always had mush for brain fans?

I'm sure it's only since Stewart took over and we've had a bit of money thrown at us that we've become such an arrogant, expectant, unsupportive bunch of fans. We're lucky that we've had such a good time since moving to the NYS. I dread to think what would've happened if we'd have had an Andy Scott type season in our first season at NYS. It would've been chaos.

This season I've seen a nob drunkenly stumbling up the stairs at Derby cring for supporters to "get behind 'em" only at the end to see the same guy booing at the top of his voice (until someone outed him for it and he soon ran back into his lager-fuelled shell).

I've seen in-fighting, I've seen players get slated on social media, I've seen younger, self deprecating fans kissing arses of fans of bigger clubs, but by far and away the worst thing I've seen is an individual player get booed DURING A GAME.

Mark my words, if that had happened in the Tivoli days, they'd have been sparked clean out. Spot the braincell or what? How does anyone that booed Green after a mistake in the early stages of a game (I'd love to hear from you) think that benefits anyone?

Do you think he'd suddenly play better? Do you think the other players thought it was good to hear? Or the investors?

Utter stupidity and an embarrassment to the club. If you handle ale, don't drink it. Morons.

I think there were a few at Derby that weren't Rotherham fans. The utter dick in front of us spent 75% of the game facing and gesticulating to the Derby fans. The other 25% he actually watched I didn't hear him mention a players name once.

They've always been there - remember Stoke City? Burton Albion? I'm sure there's more.

20yrs ago we were seen as a small but good bunch who backed their team, there was no coincidence for the most part at Millmoor we were a force. All that got lost in the admins and as identity goes I still think we're pretty lost.

As for booing its always happened - Forest Green in the FA Cup away, Branston even shouted eff off when being booed at half time when the team trudged off. And Im sure its happened more I just cant remember.

Β Agree. Its been much worse than it is now.

I remember the fighting on the Tivoli amongst our own during the start of the Admin period. Evey week was open season.

I remember incredibly aggressive behaviour at away grounds: stoke, Newcastle, Chesterfield, Port vale and Ipswich, stand out to me but I am sure there is plenty more. And home to Swansea, Wrexham, Chesterfield, wednesday and sheff u, etc.

Its much, uch better than it was but we dont want it creeping back in,

I am afraid we have more than our fair share. I don't believe that just because someone supports my football club that it disqualifies them from being an idiot, and vice versa.

The grounds have changed from terraces to all seater and we have gone up and down the leagues but the minority of fans who come to the matches to behave like morons has always been there. I remember for example a fairly serious fight years ago in the Tivoli End when three or four blokes in their thirties who it seemed came every week to give Des Hazel abuse (including racist abuse) were confronted by a few who had had enough of it, through to a similar fight in that shiny new Stadium MK two years ago in the game when O'Connor got sent off when some gents were giving Scott Shearer dogs abuse and some others objected. As the French saying goes, the more things change the more they stay the same. No doubt the better we are doing from time to time the more we take away from home and the bigger the proportion of idiots there are come along for the beer and the mock aggro. I take my kids to the games and I choose my away games very carefully, but on Saturday in the sanctity of the home support they saw two blokes in their fifties or sixties face to face about whether or not it was acceptable to boo Green.

ps. It isn't. Booing your own team or players is never on.

onomatopoeic language and behaviour have been staple expressions for showing pleasure and displeasure since civilisation began.

In fact it was encouraged at times in different parts of history and from country to country including England.

It could be seen as a duty or an omission of duty by some. If you don't let the performers know then it rewards their behaviour. Likewise clapping rewards it.

We live in a PC era but I would not personally rule out making displeasure known to players, entertainers or whoever for a lack of performance.

Redders was quoted as saying he agreed with the fans and told the ayers so at half time.

Lucky fir modern day footballers it's not the gladiatorial arena they are in. Forget the boos and worry about the thumbs. πŸ˜ˆπŸ˜‚πŸ”ͺπŸƒπŸš‘πŸ˜±

Never happen on Tivoli what a load of tosh ask Kevin Watson ! destroyed that lads career , Millers fans are a good bunch in general but we've always had a toxic bunch who just don't understand football at all , think that we are bigger than we are better than we are .So for the sake of our club stop getting on the backs of the player's who I'm sure don't go out to have a nightmare , even though they cause us some.
