What really gets me after performances like today, is that these players are professionals, so i wanna ask, regardless of manager's team selections and tactics/formations, where was that professional pride, that intense dislike of losing, i didn't see any of that today.
Another thing, how many players were cautioned today? my point is this, sometimes in this game you have to take a hit, you have to stamp your mark on a game, you have to stop them playing, and sometimes that means you have to foul someone, yeh, actually kick someone, and we never got close, i'm not saying get sent off, i'm saying sometimes you have to dig in, i didn't see that today, ive hardly seen it all season.
I'm generally quite the optomist, but after that ive got one conclusion...
having said all that, ive just looked at the table, we're still in this you know
smiler he has to take responsibility, the players are being told publically they arent good enough by the manager, why would they play for him, he is the problem 1 point in 6 games and we haven't looked like winning any one of those games
Spot on MMM. And spot on to say it hasn't been there all season. Players were pointing the finger at each other and arguing with each other after half an hour into the first match. The idea that Evans was getting the best out of them is rubbish. It annoys the hell out of me that he left after a couple of soft wins and people buy the idea that he would have done better. He left us in a right state.
