since when has junction 10 been in south yorkshire.
anyway, yes, this cop is a disgrace.
Firstly, do your job and the crime might come down.
secondly, what a huge PR failure. Ordinary citizens like moi already have a bad time with all this over the top surveillance and standards as the criminals dont play by the same rules. Its another reason I , like many, have fallen out with the cops over the years. They have proved countless times to be an inept and corrupt public body like no other.
on another note, I constantly fly up and down the M1 at 80+ (when its safe of course) and have never been done! Do they cameras work, or do I have an invisibility cloak?

I do 80 everywhere, but 75 in the managed motorways sections and absolutely no more than 55 through the average check roadworks.
I got fleeced last year doing '83 in a 50', just coming up to Bristol where 2 days earlier they had average speed check, all the work and signs etc were cleared, just the new managed motorways. I wasn't going faster than anyone else (you'd kinda notice wouldn't you?), what smacked to me was that kind of offence would surely have meant court, more points and higher fine, I got the bog standard 3 points and £90 - so make of that what you will.
The 3 most dangerous things, not speed on a motorway. Tailgating, old farts who don't look over their shoulder when overtaking & zombie idiots who seem to think the middle lane is for their own use.
Speed traps other than at active roadworks are a cash cow

I live in a rural area and when we turn out to a RTC the peelers are usually first there, on average about 4 squad cars, often more turn up have a walk around say hello then disappear. I once witnessed an officer turn up on a motorbike and over heard him say he'd ridden over from Skeggy.
I mentioned this to my boss, puzzled as to why, when someone gets burgled or mugged the usual response is there are no officers available to attend. Now, I cant verify whether this is true, but I have no reason to disbelieve it, but my boss told be that when an RTC goes out over the radio they zero in on it and are then able to claim a £100 bonus for attending!!!!!! Plenty of bobbies around then.
