With the current squad what side & formation would you play?

Tough one this because I really want to play two up front but I can't because of our leaky defence:

Formation: 4-2-3-1

GK: Camp

Back 4: Buxton, Mattock, Collins, Rawson

Defensive Midfield: Smallwood, Thorpe

Wingers: Ledesma, Maguire

Free role: Newell

Striker: Derbyshire

I actually think a 3-5-2 formation playing with wing backs would be better but we haven't got anybody to play the wingback roles.

Derbyshire is in for JCH as I think he can read the game much better and is more likely to get on the end of crosses.

That looks pretty sound to me.  JCH coming on for the last 20 minutes or so.

Ledesma or Halford won't play in a Roth' shirt again. Maguire will only ever be on the bench, in fact along with Buxton & Mattock you can see why Wednesday got shut of them.

4-4-2 but need a right back & right sided midfield player.

Camp
Another Rawson Broadfoot Tofollo
Another Thorpe Smallwood Newell
Derbyshire JCH

i have been saying 4-2-3-1 for weeks and weeks, I think the 4-2 is easy to select can't see why redfearn struggles with this, they need more than 60 mins together to blend though.

The 1 for me is JCH not derbyshire

The 3 this is where we can try different combinations use the subs to create variations

4-4-2 formation with the proviso that we have a proven goalscorer up front.

I've been reminded by Redders selections of what I actually prefer in terms of selection and formation.

Selection : I have always liked Green since he cane to the club and think he has figured in our most impressive displays. Likewise, Richardson has rarely dine anything wrong and has a very balanced game at this level. Apart from hunt he is the best right back we have had in the last several years. These two would figure for me .

We need width if Derbyshire plays. And if Derbyshire plays JCH has to play. They have to play centrally together.

Redrern has reminded me that tactically it needs to change at times but he has also reminded me that being too cautious is not the way to get the best out of a team

All bets off as a quality striker about to be launched on unsuspecting Ipswich.
