Well done Redders

You've taken a team who was out of the relegation places to bottom of the table. We're not only bottom but we're now playing with  daft formations and creating zero chances.

I can see why Leeds didn't retain your services.

Come back Evans, all is forgiven.

Presently controversial but does it have some truth in it?

Put it this way. There's no excuse for the poor results and performances. His record is poor compared to SE.

And it does not count that they aren't his players. As I've pointed out before, no manager can hide behind that from a straight comparison point of view.

So far...rubbish.

As disappointed as everyone but we did expect a tonking today and got one, no surprise there then. We are where we are because we have been sub standard for 14 games. Evans lost 5, drew 2 and won 2, and arguably should have done better baring in mind we played the weaker teams early on, teams we would have expected to get something from.

Redfearn has lost 4 and drawn 1 and has played teams who we knew we would struggle against, and in quick succession too. But would we be in such a bad position if the previous in***bent had got it right from the off............ anyone remember Roos et al and the exodus of better players which if rumours are to be believed was because of certain personalities, 'Quality over quantity', ring a bell with anyone ?

It could be argued that the position we are in is because of the atrocious start to the season, when we expected a better return of points over 9 games had we not the shenanigans.

But yes. Disappointed things have not improved.

Oneday do you really believe that great self advertising selfpromoting oaf would have done any better Tony stewart realised we would in a worse situation and got shut that man was out of his depth last season and even more now. Due to his complete incompetence we are where we are now and redders has a hell of a job to sort it out We are notout it yet this will be a dog fight with us charlton bolton bristol mk dons preston and leeds Come january expect tony to give him a budget to sort it out and we can expect new opportunities with loan players now he has gone Look at the loans that never came back and clubs closing doors due to evans Lawrence hunt martinez etc ofoe went back cos of him Back the manager if we go down so be it evans in my opinion is poison chalice

Of course Evans would have done better. He did.

The things you could rely on with a Steve Evans team were determination, heart, passion and effort. Without those things the players knew they would be out of the door. We haven't got any of these things under Redfearn.

Yes we had a revolving door policy but it worked. Let's have a look at other local clubs who have been in the championship in recent (ish) seasons: Sheff Utd, Barnsley & Donny. All doing fantastic in league 1. That will be us if we go down. Forget all this build for the future and come back stronger tosh. It doesn't work.

Evans knows that and Stewart will come to realise it once it is too late.

Rawson came back. Tavernier wanted to come back but Wigan wouldn't let him. Evans signed numerous ex players. Read the comments Lawrence said after Blackburn beat Leeds.

But don't let facts get in the way.

The biggest load of tosh I think I've ever read in MB since it started. Evans has gone, he aint coming back EVER! get over it. We need rebuilding from top to bottom & that includes Youth policy as well as the first team. I think it's slightly strange that NR hasn't brought his own backroom staff in as Officer Dibble, Black & even Warney haven't exactly covered themselves in glory have they? And don't get me started on Gee Evans!!!

Never mind Brad, you will probably get what you want with Redders. Relegation to League One and lovely trips to Bury, Fleetwood and S****horpe.

It didn't matter which person was appointed as the new Millers' manager.

It was always going to be difficult for the new man in charge.

I still think we're looking forward to League One football next season.

I have to agree that NR is not doing it for me - i don't think we need a quiet man who moans to the media about getting some players in. He isn't playing the best ones we have. God knows why anyone would play Green in the Championship and Danny Ward has never played a decent game for us.

Also, against Wednesday he stood arms folded all night like he didnt give a toss. He should be encouraging and directing and if not then just sit in the stands, or watch it on TV.

Brad, which part is tosh?

That every Evans team played with heart & passion?

That the revolving door policy worked?

That Sheff Utd, Barnsley and Donny are all struggling?

Some people can't handle success. I get the impression that you're one of those people.

There are some facts and some speculation.

With Redders we only have speculation that he might be a good choice some time in the future.

On current facts that speculation looks spectacularly wrong.

It's a fact I used spectacular or derivatives of speculation much more than the facts required to speculate on the pros and cons of Redders appointment. Others may disagree but the result is another long winded and confused effort to improve things over the long term. In the end you will have voted with your feet by now and be thoroughly fed up with this particular post.

Right now, NR's hands are more or less tied. We have to keep paying & in most cases playing tired old crocks who are the wrong side of 30 & knackered ( Halford, Broadfoot, Collins, Green, ) etc. Is that Redfearns fault?
NO!!!
We need more quality, yeah, but we also need players with desire & hunger & the will to improve, which is sadly lacking with our current squad. IMO we need to drastically improve the standard & quality of coaching & if that means sacking people who are popular around the club, then so be it.
A drastic overhaul of the playing side of the club is urgently needed, both player wise AND coaching staff.

Well said, Deuce.  I (and a few others) pointed out when the fixtures came out that the first month would determine whether or not we stayed up and that we had to win several of the "easy" early games.  Instead Evans made a complete pig's ear of it.  Redfearn wasn't my choice as a "scrapper" who might just keep us up.
