Proven striker, just the sort of player we need, but goes to Hillsborough. Just shows you that we simply cannot compete with virtually every other Championship club when it comes to wages.
W have to accept what we are. We are still viewed as little Rotherham. Its sad that football these days has a direct correlation with size, catchment area and investors. We will never be taken seriously in this league or be seen as sustainable unless the infrastructure is sorted and crowds nearly double, and that is the absolute brass tax. 35 thousand at Hillsboro last night, and they'll get that and more in the PL. They've been away too long, and good luck to them - football was better for it having Sheffield derbys in the top flight, there have been some crackers in the past. I know where I'd play given the choice, your heart doesn't fill your bank account!

Agreed. When I was at school in Sheffield in the 60s both Sheffield clubs were fairly established in the First Division. I don't really remember any of this bitterness we get now. Loads of Millers watched the Owls against Everton in the FA Cup Final and wanted them to win.
I like what we are. I'd rather support the millers in the 4th tier than chase a big club and pay 40 quid a game for the privilege.
I loved Millmoor, and wouldn't like a half empty stadium. We are what we are and if what we are can't compete at this level then relegation might suit us.
