I'm surprised it took me as long as "Chris Maguire is the most technically gifted player in the Rorherham squad" but it did, and after that it was curtains for me.
What a load of uneducated drivel. Can only assume the author has watched us on the two sky games alone.
(Talking to myself again). Just read it again, and it is not as good as I first thought. Good luck with that eleven/formation. We would be completely overrun and the team would have no shape. The idea that you increase your chances of scoring by putting lots of strikers in the team is the stuff of fantasy. Anyone who thinks that they have seen enough from Maguire to think that we should build a team around him has spotted something that has passed me by. The only team I would build around him at the minute plays at Gigg Lane.
One issue seems to be this idea of misfiring players.
This chap clearly believes its al the managers fault. Similar to wood groupies, and some of the kids that have gone out.
Bowery has simply had chance after chance. He looks good-end of.
Maguire likewise but wheres the evidence. He over runs the ball, cant pass and is weak in the tackle as well as a liability with his tackling and attitude.
Seems to be the main mistake is wanting to correct the results with a bit of fantasy thinking when the truth is the team isnt settled and we dont have a good enough squad yet to play one. we have to tinker because of lack of clear quality.
And that midfield would get hammered by most teams in the championship.
opps! clearly I dont need a second read.
sorry Jamie, cant go with it, though it looks a fine happy idea at first.
