Andy Monium: worried about Sickly

I've seen it happen before with the Antipodes: something to do with being upside down.  Sickly has started replying to his own posts: six times on one thread.  In the middle of the night too.  It may be the demon drink of course.  I think a Banter whip round may be needed to send me out there to bring the poor drongo home.  What do you reckon?

Replying to one's own posts comes with the territory. This is Millers Banter, ridgeway.

See what I did there?

As for bringing sickly back, it appears from his previous posts he seems quite happy with his lot down under.

I think we should ask him if he is sickening for something.

I wouldn't worry, just venting over a disappointing game. Welcome to pop over anytime getting used to the idea that we may get relegated.

We've took some stick over the past few weeks. I am deflated. But like a bouncy castle I'll bounce back.

Good you're OK.  I spotted that you'd watched the Owls game - enough to send anyone into the depths of despond.  What are you reading?

When you say "We" is that the royal "we", Banter or the Millers - probably all three I expect.  Never get down and never get up is my motto.

Reading young Stalin, nearly finished then will move on to the Court of the Red Tsar. Got to be careful as I am supposed to be writing my Masters Thesis.

A Masters, eh. Impressive; what's it on?  Haven't come across Young Stalin but did watch Young Winston.  Just watched a couple of 1960s American do***entaries, The Death of Stalin and The Rise of Krushchev. Not too bad.

Young Stalin excellent, fully recommend it. Thesis on medical simulation in undergraduate nursing, suppose you have to be there. :)

I'll look out for Young Stalin.  If you're interested in Stalinism I can recommend the memoirs of a hero of mine, Victor Serge, Memoirs of a Revolutionary and his great novel, The Case of Comrade Tulayev.  There is also of course Arthur Koestler's short masterpiece, Darkness at Noon.
