Well, that was an early Christmas present. We were gifted a penalty thanks to King Kirk's persistence in the penalty box and a thunderous Cracker of a strike, which nearly took out the roof of the net, from Joe Newell.

Pure gold!

Re-calculation now forces me to declare an increase from 34 to 36 wassail cups by the end of this season.

New Year, New Hope? Will we ever string three wins together?

That's never going to happen!

We've done 2 twice now which was a first. Maybe the omens are good for a thrice x2 and then a first 3 followed by two more 3s. That should be enough 2s and 3s to see us stay 4th from last at least up into the 2nd or 3rd month of 2016.

The FA Cup has arrived to divert our attention away from our current position at the foot of the table.

This temporary diversion is not enough to convince me that we will survive in the Championship.

The new signings don't fill me with confidence either.

In case anyone has forgotten about this non-descript thread, and that's not too difficult, my guesstimate for the final points tally is

quite illogical and nonsensical. I am now drawn to an inflated 44 points.

The final total points tally is still a mystery to me. 44 points total  for the Millers? What was I thinking about? It was a rush of

blood I suppose.

My guesstimate for the final points' tally was indeed quite illogical and nonsensical. I'm now going to pull the reins in a bit to

forecast a paltry and sad 42 points total.  Will that be enough to save us from the drop?

Now that NW has taken charge we'll need at least 46 points to survive.

I think that is now possible.

Funny but ive gone a bit more pessimistic (grumpy?)

I think 50 will stll be needed but I see us on 42 at present.

Before we were totally dreadful against QPR, Charlton and Bolton, I thought wed get to 46, which makes no sense whatsoever.

Im now thinking Bristol city will finish on 55
MK Dons will finish on 53
we will finish 3rd from Bottom on 42.

Ill revise this figure in 2 weeks Im sure.

The Millers will finish on 39 points. We are missing too many chances in front of goal.

Not much possession of the ball against Reading.
Not many shots on target.
We did okay with yellow cards though.

Even my dog's upset now. He's even off his food. He must be feeling the bad vibes from me.

Two wins on the bounce now.

I reckon 39 points will not be enough.

It'll take 48 points to stay in the Championship.

Can you remember this thread everyone?

I think we ought to guesstimate how many or how few Championship points the Millers will have racked up by the end of this

2015-2016 Season.

To make it more fun you can keep guessing right up to midnight Friday, 1st April 2016.

It will only be your last guess which will count.

We are due to play Leeds United at home on Saturday, 2nd April 2016.

And what a game that turned out to be.

In no particular order these are everyone's predictions as to the final Millers' points total for the 2015-2016 Season

The competition is now closed.

Oneaday  predicted final points total   61

Ian predicted final points total 55

Sickly Child predicted final points total  50

Andy predicted final points total 48

Worcestermiller predicted final points total 45

Heman  predicted final points total   42

Exeter predicted final points total 38

Ridgeway Kid predicted final points total 38

Bradthemiller predicted final points total 33

Towdcodger predicted final points total 32

It's looking good for Oneaday,  Ian and  Sickly Child.

It's also looking promising for the Mighty Millers.

Thank you for taking part.

It's getting into the final four furlongs now.

Oneaday predicted final points total 61

Ian predicted final points total 55

Sickly Child predicted final points total 50

Andy predicted final points total 48

It's still looking good for Oneaday, Ian and Sickly Child.

As for my prediction. The Millers should get past a 48 points' final total with ease.

I never thought of offering any prize. But just to increase the excitement, and I'm sure some people are chomping at the bit, here we go.

First Prize for the person who makes the correct prediction will either be a pair of football socks with red and white stripes or a pair of

plain red football socks.

Both pairs are in very good condition.

PS My athlete's foot has now healed so I'm hoping there will be no risk to the winner.
