why evans has no credability

he has taken the Leeds job, how can anyone take this man seriously

1, His comments about leeds that is all over the internet again today

2. The fact he told him the number 1 thing to do was go to a club with a good chairman

he has more faces that a 50p piece, glad he is gone now and his short term strategy may do well at leeds for a few months, but they have little money and he has to work with youth players

Agree. He could have and should have said no.

In the short term SE will be the caretaker coach at Leeds.

In the long term?

There is no long term to be had at Leeds.

There were so many possible reasons Derby that I had to have a look to see which one(s) you were thinking of. Evans working for Cellino - but only for a couple of hours because according to the Italian authorities he hasn't paid his taxes. You really couldn't make it up! Cellino is turning (has turned) a once proud club into a bad joke and appointing Evans may have been his crowning glory. If it wasn't so sad it would be laughable.

When SE made those comments, wernt we in League 1? (2013?)

He probably thought the likelihood of him ever managing a club like Leeds were lightyears away. However it also shows that everything you say in the media can come back and bite you.

If I was SE, and Leeds came knocking, i would also give it a go. You lose, your run will be that short it will almost be forgotton about. Succeed - then you would have done something no one else could have done.

Worth a shot at least.

He did a great job for us, got us promoted from League Two, when everyone and his Mother had failed. We were in a rut somewhat akin to the Blades situation seemingly stuck forever in League One. Mr Evans came along and hey presto we went up! Then he surprised us all again and gave me my best ever day of supporting the Millers with that Play Off victory at Wembley.

I think, given that the money appears to be either running out or at least being handed out with a little more thought,  it was time to part company.

If anyone can turn things around at Elland Road, he's yer man! He can't really lose as if things do go awry, he can blame the absent Chairman. If, as I suspect, he does get them moving upwards, he will add to an already impressive CV.

Time for us Millers now to move on and get behind our new man Neil Redfern, boy has he got a big job just to keep us out of those bottom three places. I hope he succeeds, but fear we will be relegated this season as bringing in more loans looks unlikely, at least at the rate SE brought them in. In my opinion our current crop of players just aren't good enough to keep us up.

Not for me. Anybody's monkey could have got us promoted, and lets not forget the 5 wins in L2, and everyone who went to those including me walked out of each thinking we got the rub as all could have gone either way, ok exclude Aldershot they were dire. If we hadn't got Tavernier at xmas there would be no way we would have made the play offs. Evans got lucky by signing and binning the best part of 90 players! We can all do that on Football Manager! His methods while ok in the lower reaches where a good budget & blood and thunder get you most places, this league is too much for him and the lap dog. I'm not moaning, its win-win for them as mentioned, I'll just be surprised if he's still there in 2016

On the plus side we might be able to pick up some of Leeds' good young players when our old mate starts his wheeling and dealing. It baffles me that more people don't see Evans for what he really is. Tonight against Reading we saw a style of play that would have been unimaginable under Evans. We didn't batter them (can anyone else imagine what the Evans post match analysis of that match might have been?) but we matched a good side and deserved a draw. Redfearn is a breath of fresh air so far. Give him time and support and we will do well with him.

Tend to agree with all of the above: smiler,ex, Chris, axholme.

I think it tends to suggest SE is an enigma.

On reflection, the way we played last night, with the same players but a different manager says a lot.

It was refreshing to see the style of football we played last night, i only ever really saw that once last season, the 2nd half of the match against Charlton at home.

LG2 promotion was the last place available automatic, Lg1 was the last place available via the playoffs (pens in the final, who can forget), then we only just scraped through to stay in the chamionship last season, all under SE.

Maybe under Redders, I beleive, we can start to climb out of the relegation places into where we belong, mid to lower table, up to 16th if we win on Friday !!!, that puts pressure on everybody else below.

I hold no hope for Leeds, but there again, i aint bothered, we have what they would like, they have have what we didnt want, i would say we are more the richer for it.
