the last week

The last week has been busy with twitter face book  millers mad millers banter going hot as to the whys and what if

this is my last word on this

Since tony stewart took over in the dark says at DVS we have had 4 managers

mark robins left for barnsley

ronnie moore sacked but still a legend as a player

andy scott  who we all ask

then came the whirlwind of evans with his brand of emotional motivation in your face siege mentality that is what he is

he brought success in such a short space of time with a high turnover of players due to a chairman who wanted the same thing.

First season we was promoted to the league 1

Then the championship  via a playoff final no one will ever forgot

There rapid promotions came that quick that the infrastructure to support this success didnt have the time to catch up.

First season in the championship we survived we struggled evans kept chopping and changing with loans and players leaving then when he got the settled side we got the results that mattered

And in some fans that was what evans issue was he took so long to get the settled side and I thought when he said quality over quantity I thought yes.

But it seems evans was never interested in bringing the youth up through the ranks how many potential players have gone that could have come good for us with a potential sell on profit. brindley rowe etc

I just think him and raynor were motivators and were either un able or incapable

I believe from listening to what tony said on radio sheff that he wanted a  youth policy at the club and plus the fact that from next season loans procedure is changing i believe.

These two issues were probably the defining factor in the conversation (decision) for evans to be pushed because he was unable or in capable of the former and relied on the latter. and evans gets the players doing what he want or gets shut or sidelines them and replaces them with loans which we cant next season.

So tony had a choice replace evans with someone who can build something or stick with evans who had hit a brick wall and there was potential of relegation.

He decided to act now and change it with time to spare in the loan market and the winter transfer window and cthe international break has given tony the time to get the right man in and giving the new manager a bit of extra time to get the team playing how he wants.

yes he could have evans the budget but on past experiences thought otherwise

Some interesting points although I would suggest Ronnie remains a legend not only as a player but as a manager.  The emergency loans system is set to end for next season.  RUFC has made quite a bit of use of it under Evans but I'm not sure what the implications will be for us going forward.  As to why TS decided on a change and why now I just don't know; perhaps as you suggest the international break seemed a good time?
