Not much said, loves the fans and TS, just couldnt agree on future direction. Still very odd and something must have gone off.

Nothing new, sadly and Rob didn't press him on exactly why he left.

Lots of gush about the fantastic fans and a great three years etc. and he will make a further statement after Friday's game to thank the fans - but focus should quite rightly be on the game.

Steve and Tony embraced after a normal daily business meeting knowing that in a few minutes they what they would have to do and there was a lot of emotion and tears from both so it seems like an amicable parting of the ways. Reading between the lines it suggests there was a disagreement on funding and how Steve wanted to go forward - Steve asking for more money? Questions about wasted money from Stewart?

Says his phone has been red hot since he left with other offers so I don't think he will be out of work for very long.

No major issues, everybody's great friends, just the usual Monday morning meeting, no raise voices or anything, just this time the manager's left his post. Accepted unquestioningly by Radio Sheffield (presumably on the basis if they probes there's no interview). Probably the most cringeworthy, mawkish bit of third person quote work ever: it was, he said "hard to watch Steve Evans watching his chairman crying in front of him". Good grief. His phones been red hot since the news broke (so he'll be fine, thanks very much), with lots of job offers from clubs with managers which he doesn't want to talk about other than to mention them. Unenlightening but at least a gracious and grateful stance adopted.

In terms of SE, I feel he has walked away and broken his contract. Im quite a fiercely loyal person (but we all have our limits) and would suggest that despite his genuine praise he has let the club down.

TS must be feeling something similar I would have thought. However, between the two of them there is a daily relationship and so despite the avoidance regarding the specifics of why he went he (TS) must have seen it coming and SE must have know for sometime he was going to make it happen. I think its total Bull**** to suggest it was a normal morning. Normal morning dont turn into relationship break ups without an angry word being said-thats a bizarre thing to try and sell it like that. There has clearly been some hard bargaining going on for some time.

That being said, TS must also have thought enough is enough, but in what respect?

Was SE too ambitious for our small club.?
Is TS to shoulder some blame for talk of mid table and Premiership?
Does TS think SE underperfoming ?

where does it leave us...

Personally let down by SE.
Worried about TS and his commitment and drive.
Concerned for the immediate future.
Bothered by the though we are going to get a **** manager.

on a brighter note...

We might see a different level of football that brings even better results.
We might get a stunning manager

what I will miss...

His interviews and regular updates.
His larger than life personality.
His belief that anything was possible.

what I wont miss...

Fans divided by a manager.

Or the cringe worthy constant flapping & berating of officials.

We'll get more 50/50 decisions at home

Lots, yes lots of players will not want to have played for Steve Evans, players talk. 1 phone call to Pringle, Arny, Morgs and about 50 other candidates would be enough to blow a deal

Some reality in post match - I don't want to hear we've laid siege to their goal when we've not had a shot on target

Its wise to listen to the numpties sometimes they speak the cold hard truth

A plan B, or dare I even dream even C?

Getting a crowd connection with players, because right now there isn't one Frecks aside

Better football is virtually guaranteed

Tom Thorpe coming to the fore

God I could go on. This is a real opportunity to kick on IMO

Did SE walk or was he pushed. What pay-off has he got?
Can he take Halford, Ledesma, White & G Ward with him.
Agree about Thorpe, should be in front of Halford, Green & G Ward.

he played smoke and mirrors

i think he asked permission to talk to posh tony said no and that made tony realise that the loyalty was one sided and decided he would be in charge of the clubs destiny not evans.

if you look at the cir***stantial evidence with the posh saga

he leaves for an internal meeting

the long silence and thequote about his future  i will make a comment when i wake up after the brighton match.

all assumptions

Complete waste of time except as a PR exercise for Steve Evans. I've given up on Radio Sheff. They daren't ask a challenging question. The biggest worry is that Steve seems to have cloned himself, as if one isn't enough. He now watches himself cry and hug his Chairman. Decisions like the one made yesterday don't tend to get made afresh and wrapped up ready for the media within an hour or two. Whatever happened will have been in the offing for a while. Evans' main concern in the interview was to plug the line that he can say he left us in good shape and he can walk into any other job with his CV intact. After listening to that interview I am more certain than ever that the club will be all the better for him having left while we still have a chance to build something. If I was forced to trust either SE or TS to take us in the right direction I would choose TS in the blink of an eye.
