Is there any chance that TS will take to the field before the Burnley game and pour some light (which he's good at!) on today's events. Apart from who the new manager will be, I reckon the key question on all supporters' minds following the Club Statement is in what direction does he see the club moving.
He could do a lot to settle the nerves of fans if he could reveal what his preferred direction is and how it differed from where SEs wished to take us.
After all the speculation surrounding the Peterborough job and the massive amount surrounding SE leaving, he could do worse than offer us an honest statement of where he sees RUFC heading. I reckon we deserve some candid facts in light of recent events. I for one would forego my second pint and get down to the stadium early to hear such an address.
Agree, we need to hear some reassuring but truthful words from TS. I hope both are possible.
Agree, 'After the Gold Rush' has settled I think we need to hear something about the philosophy as well as direction on the club.
The club statement suggests the decision was out of the clubs hands and ended with a disagreement about direction. There seems only one conclusion to me; SE wanted to spend more.
The way of these things is that the parties will have probably have signed Settlement Agreements detailing their financial terms but also invariably recording the prepared statement to be issued and agreeing that anything else is to stay confidential. In short, we aren't going to get anything other than the official line publicly from the parties themselves. Sorry to be dour, but that's the way it works.
Begs the question, when TS revealed his Premiere League ambitions after the League 1 playoffs, was he fully aware of the investment that such an undertaking would need? If he was, was the disagreement based on a lack of trust that SE would spend the money wisely? With the emergency loan window still open, SE may well have taken his shopping basket to TS only to find that his credit card had expired.
Can't help but think that a manager who is more responsible and astute with the club's finances would appeal to TS.

Ian - I find all this as far from depressing as is possible! The only certainty we have is that we will definitely have a new manager. The unknowns are endless - who the manager will be, what the club's ambition will be, what budget will be available to the new man etc, etc. Life is never dull following RUFC and at the moment it's about as interesting and exciting as it gets.
Recommend you try the half full method - remember where we've been and dream about where we might be in a couple of years' time. You'll feel better I assure you!
im like excited depressed. I think they call it manic.
Im just picking out the bit about budget. If its that SE said more please and TS said no thank you, Id be worried that this might suggest TS has had an Epiphany .
in essence its probably nothing directly related to ambition but I cam imagine SE feeling it is.
so, where does this leave us:
we dont know why hes gone.
we dont know what TS has said (if anything) that has prompted it.
It doesnt sound like a footballing decision by the board (TS)
If I try the half full method then I assume that we will get a better manager and a bit bigger budget. Im all for that and maybe new eyes and ears at NYS might prompt positive change in both directions.
The difficulty for me is that I think the evidence suggests SE was doing ok but you are right, he may have been under performing.
The roller coaster continues, I may get stick but I am not devastated that he has gone. Why he has gone may be more problematic, onwards and upwards. Warnock for me.

Good luck to SE but he's gone now , I'm sorry to see him go but thats football , it's not as if he's left us with a team full of our own player's , for me we have got to get a manager who likes to work with kids .
For me Redfern is the man his coach Thommo (Steve Thompson) .COYR
