NEW ERA

TS has invested massively in RUFC and will not have made this decision lightly. Unless there's something sinister in the background that we're unaware of, he will have been contemplating this decision for at least a month and he will have contingency plans in place which may even include a preferred new boss.

As surprising as these developments are, we should (and have to) look upon this as the start of a new era at NYS and with the right man in charge, we could be on the verge of establishing ourselves as a force to be reckoned with. TS has shown that he's not happy to settle for Championship survival - which is really positive.

SE and PR have carved their places in RUFC history and no supporter will ever forget the last 3.5 years - for that I offer them my sincere appreciation and wish them well in their future football endeavours.

Things to consider:

  1. That's 50% of the Rotherham chants out of the window!
  2. Can we now drop the Numpty saga?!

Onwards and upwards - TS will see us right and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season and whatever it brings!

I guess the main issue is whether TS has indeed been in full control of this situation.

Rob Staton suggests club knew nothing about it until now.

Being closer to the cadence of RUFC than most his opinion might be more informed...?

im not saying he does. I was just pointing out that he thinks the club didnt manage this as a planned departure. If thats true then its quite important in terms of how club manage this going forward-it has implications.

Might be worth listening to Football Heaven this evening. Not sure if Staton does that - but at least RUFC should get a mention!
