So what is the speculation because it can't be footballing reasons:
He got too involved going for the Peterborough job after TS told him it was a no go.
TS took exception to his 'numpty' comment despite his subsequent explanation
Evans' media interviews where he is critical of his transfer budget (read between lines having a go at TS)
Or something has come out of the woodwork that is the straw that broke the camels back for TS
ffs
why S.E.
Wanting more funds ?
new Job lined up ?
the team maybe S.E. Management like last year shipping players out not using them but now some are first team regulars maybe they always were ?
lots have gone Dressing Room Rift ?
get a feeling the 2 wins gave S.E. Some more credit and was a great opportunity to do this GO QUIT
Glad I was sitting when i read this my legs went , this tops any manager going up to date , I believe TS will have a plan although I think putting Black in charge would rather have seen Warnie there but im a numptie , we told Evans we are still here when he's gone, but I would still like to say a massive thanks to Steve Evans for some of my best memories in the last 55 years of going to watch the Millers .
Going to be very interesting next week or two .
Let's just hope we can keep this bit of a run going ,
The lads are going to need us all behind them now so on Friday we've got to get behind them all the way
COME ON YOU MILLERS
I won't be a hypocrite - I never wanted the man as our manager and am not particularly sorry to see him leave, although I am as surprised as most will be. I thank him for the success he brought on the pitch and wish him well. I genuinely think that if we appoint the right person the team and the club can move on successfully, and SE leaves with his CV intact football-wise.
I echo that. At Don Valley I did not applaud his entrance to the directors box. He got us promoted from L2 with a league busting budget and new ground factor, that carried on to L1 where the massive staff turnover continued so we can't have been struggling, at L1 the NYS is still a pretty big draw for a lot of players. Last season we didn't stay up on merit, we hung by a thread of our own doing and if not for the woeful ones that went down, we'd have easily done so.
I think TS has increased the budget this year, bought into the quality over quantity and seen the reverse. I think he's had enough of the waste, short termism and lack of medium / longer term planning. If it wasn't going right for Evans his solution was more players.
I don't think we're in trouble, far from it, we have some good players and this has been done early enough to not impact our season. We can still finish away from the bottom pack. I think we'll win back old friends, our players can have the opportunity of playing with some freedom and maybe we can start to build a relationship with staff and players, because under Evans it was anything but.
Has to be Redfearn for me as he can not only do it at 1st team level but has a connection and experience of building from youth. If we were to gamble, JFH is one of the upcoming young managers, carries himself impeccably, has vast experience and really how long can Burton keep hold of him?
I will say thanks to SE and PR, but will not bat an eyelid at their departure
It's been a puzzling few weeks down at the NYS; first all the speculation over the Posh job is not put to bed by Evans, then he is pulled form a press conference last minute for an 'internal meeting' and speculation goes into hyper-drive. Then Evans appears to critisise TS between the lines of an interview regarding his lack of spending power, then the numpty comments upsetting a few fans, then he can't do a press conference due to mysterious illness ..... oh to be a fly on the wall of the boardroom.

no comment on most of that EX, but at the moment we dont know why he went. Rob staton suggests it wasnt TS who was driving this decision. The club seems as caught out by this as the fans.
noticed on the statement " During the said meeting it became clear that both parties at the present time wished to head in a different direction. The meeting was at all times positive, constructive and straightforward"
Different direction ?? for the past 7 weeks we have had to look up the table.

Ex, we stayed up despite a 3 point deduction. If we was one of the worst 3 teams we would have been relegated. We wasn't AND THEREFORE STAYED UP ON MERIT. THE TABLE DOESN'T LIE.
Not a great thing to happen as the team had just started performing.
Any idea of the content MMM.
I do, but not sure of my legal standing if posted on here!!!
can u hint if it was mutual?
If you search back i posted on here ages ago about certain issues the SE had that were going to haunt him, the timescale was incorrect then, but now this has happened.
Evans' personal debt it is then. (don't want to get you into trouble though)
