Evans to stay and more of the same old, same old. I have predicted relegation from the time of the departures of good players in the close season and it looks absolutely nailed on to me. In fact it's worse than I expected as I thought by now we would have had 4 or 5 more points. I think we will be effectively down by the end of December and predict one of the lowest points totals ever in the Championship. Apart from that I'm quite optimistic.
I am not going to lighten the mood much Kid. Our first three home games were some of the most winnable that we will have all season, and possibly Brighton aside I doubt we have played a team yet home or away that will end up in the top six. Not only did we fail to win any of our first three home games, but we capitulated in two of them. The failed Roos experiment has cost us big time. There is only one man to blame for that, and it isn't the poor kid himself. Our fixture list meant it was crucial that we started well, and we didn't. It becomes hard to pull those lost points back against the better teams. It is going to be tough from here. On the plus side I have a good feeling for tomorrow. UTM.
I agree with everything you say, Smiler. DavidR made some very sensible points on MM which showed what a massive effort survival would now be. Those early results will come back to bite us I fear. Agree too re Evans. Apart from dismantling the defence (which he may or may not have been able to avoid) he made too crucial calls. The first, Roos, enough said. The second, which is supporters ignore, is that he tried his damnest to get JCH out on loan.

Disagree fully with your second 'crucial call' - he was spot on re: JCH - having watched him train numerous times pre-season he was shocking and his head wasnt in the game at all. He's since pulled his socks up, SE has given him a chance, and hes grabbed it both both hands and never looked back. Well done to both SE and JCH as far as im concerned.
Jordan Bowery should take a leaf out of JCH's book.
actually that is evans style he is a motivational manager end of and this time with jch it has worked but his man management has failed with so many others
how many loan players we have had decided not to sign look at how many times tavernier was chased and didnt come was it money most likely
anywasy up the millers i hope we win but fear the worst and if we lose then tony get that gun ready cos if you dont pull the trigger the fans reaction might

Chissando, I don't disagree. The point I was making is that had Evans succeeded in shifting JCH out (and he stated several times that he was disappointed the player refused at least two offers) the manager wouldn't have been in a position to benefit from JCH's new found better attitude.
