MILLERS BANTER PREDICTION LEAGUE FIXTURES ( NO 8)

Oh Boy! They keep coming and Im feeling the pace. Imagine what the temperature is like at pitch level!

Some keen rivalry already looks likely to spill over with Exeter telling the chasing pack to;

"use your heads not your hearts"

                                                       He was further heard to say;

" I am superb and look at my score tonight"

Others have responded by refusing to comment, which is sure to add to the tension.

May I advice everyone to let the Ref manage the game and lets cut the nonsense out.

Saturdays Bonus inspiration belongs to the exploits Glass half full. What a roller coaster he is having. Some weeks messi and some weeks Gijsbert Bos. Still , who doesnt have their ups n downs!

Some suspicion exists about the influence of The Loan Arranger, with many suspecting that there is a sort of hale and pace-Morecambe and wise and little and large dynamic. One inspirational and the other the support act. One writing the script and the other hopelessly trying to enact the script. No one is saying which is which-quite wise.

So, have you put it together?

Saturdays bonus ball will be awarded to anyone who can predict a half-time turn about.

Rules:

One team has to be leading at half-time only to be losers at the final whistle. You may choose any Saturday game for this and it does not have to be a result you have predicted on the main league (2 chances to win-in keeping with the Glass half full theme).

An Unbelievably optimistic and Generous 10 points will be awarded to the correct optimistic guess's

As always good luck. And remember out Motto.

" If its only a game, why do I cry myself to sleep".

I see what you have done there Tony.

If you don't get this message I will let you have the Colchester game.

If you do, would you be ok to look for a result in the championship.

I meant it to mean that if you predicted Rotherham v cardiff as 1-1 then you could also have it as the GHF fixture.

My mistake for not being clear enough.
Apologies to everyone for that.

Okey cokey Ian.

I've obviously mis-understood the rules, thinking that I could choose any game played on Saturday.   confuse

No problems then, I will change to the Sheffield Wed  V  Fulham game instead.   aww

Well, Exeter missed the coach due to having to look for his own kit this week (seriously , we hope nothing untoward happened).

We have our first new leader after what has been a tremendous run by EX. Yes, its humbling I know, but the Gods are smiling again on Ian. Last years champion (handed to him on a plate when Nez missed one of the last fixtures with a Groin strain obtained by his premature celebration the week before) bashfully accepts the podium and feels no pressure as all true champions know what its like to be king one week and Jester the next.

Glass Half Full will have even more time to practice his philosophy this week as he came bottom of the pile and with all those points above him he must be feeling the pressure to ditch his tactics.

Another good week for Andy keeps him firmly in the chasing pack of 4.

The Loan Arranger is stringing some results together and is creeping up on mid table.

Steady Eddies in the chasing pack continue to look a threat and with just a tweak here and there over the next several fixtures could see someone rise from the pack.

Good to see PIDG back after his unfortunate clash with the paparazzi left him with myopic vision as he headbutted the Zoom lens of a reporter from the Sun investigating reports of late night womanising and boozing. His climb into the table proper has been put back another week but his class is plain to see.

No one won the Bonus this week. In fact I dont think there was one reversal of fortune , which may go to show how important that first goal in the championship can be.

Here are this weeks scores including Monday nights fixture between Derby and Burnley
Oneaday-59
Ian-58
S8-53
Andy-47
Millmore Magic-47
The Loan Arranger-45
PIGD-44
Towd Codger-39
Worcester-38
Tony Kidding-38
Unifier-30
Sickly Child-29
Glass Half Full-24

Ian, could you check my score please mate because I think that I might have scored 38 points but you've got me as scoring 33 points?

Sorry if I'm wrong, but I've double checked it and still get the same 38 points.   biggrin
