TS now confirmed nothing in the rumours and Evans is going nowhere. So there you have it. Hopefully the 'knickers in a twist' brigade can now calm the **** down and enjoy tomorrows footy.

Back page of Rotherham Advertiser this week. TS is reported as saying, ' I've been talking to Steve (Evans) regularly and only on Wednesday he said that everyone is fit and can play in the right positions.'

I'm now looking forward to today's game especially when everyone can play in the right positions.

Hmmmm, If a true quote not sure that makes sense, I would have thought the follow on comments from TS might have been :

"So I said that's a bit strange Stevie, seeing as though you brought in 12 players? what the **** are you doing man?, I'll give you 4 games to sort it out , allreight?".....

Significant changes in betting.  Evans out from 4/9 to 4/7 and Graham Westley shortened to 4/1.  Anyone certain SE is not leaving could make some money here perhaps?

Well I hope others got on Westley as he's now shortened to 5/4 favourite and SE is out to 3/1.

What do we all make of the post charlton interview.

No denial of interest.

SE, only stated the time Line and facts and ended with a curious reference to wednesday  after the Brighton game.

Pararphrased; I respect our chairman; I respect peterborough united; I'll wake up wednesday and we will see what happens.

Pretty clear to me that this is far from dead.

On the basis of this interview I would say he is still going.

Curiously , on millers player the interview ends before RS poses the question.

For goodness sake let's have a statement from either Evans or Tony Stewart and put an end to the speculation. Why the hell does it have to drag on for so long.

Agree with that, suggests to me that either:

1) Peterborough have made an official approach, SE on his way out, but nowt will be said until after either Sat or Tuesday game as to do so will worry / de-focus the players, OR

2) A statement will be made before Charlton game to dismiss rumours and boost motivation.

I can't see logic in saying nothing as it is making everyone nervous and must be detrimental to players performance, so if we don't get '2' we must instead be going to get '1'

3) Variation on '1' is that TS has said if we don't win either game you can go talk to Posh (saves me sacking you mate), so variation on '1', same outcome.

Can't possibly be still quiet on the matter after Tuesday game, definite outcome and matter settled after Tuesday game latest.

Ok, so I think we are on Scenario '3' now - Evans to Posh before Saturday, or lose on Saturday and he's sacked.

whatever we think of Evans, we cannot do much worse than we are now, so something has to change if we don't beat Cardiff...
