Like the OP I can't remember anything about him but that probably says more about me than it does about him.  I have fatally lost confidence in the Scottish maestro and suspect he'd have Messi on the bench and then loan him to a relegation rival.

We have the players, other than the 1 or 2 we're screaming out for I think we have enough to get us out of this before the window opens in Jan. Its the swallowing of pride / self proclamation of mistakes, players in right positions, not having favourites despite their woeful inefficiencies and above all either getting them fighting with belief (unlikely as wrong crowd for it) or playing them like the championship players that they are.

I started a different thread about use of wide players and gave some examples of wingers brought in who rarely played.  Hammill is another.  We had him for three months or so from memory and he may have started one or two matches (Wolves away?).  Other than that if he was on the bench at all he got ten minutes at the end either to kill the ball in the corner if we were in front or as a last throw of the dice if we needed a goal.  His best contribution was to set up Bowery to equalise against Norwich.  He didn't make much of an impact, although to be fair like so many others (especially of his ilk) he was given very little chance to.  For me, he lacked a yard of pace and tended to hang on to the ball too long. 

Like some on here we've had that many players on loan, all similar ilk, can't really remember any differences - well left alone then.
