"Captain" Greg Halford VS Fulham

i am still in utter shock at this lads performance. He offers nothing both as a player and captain.

iv gone back today and looked at his positioning for all 3 goals and took a freeze frame. These 3 pictures says it all, especially for a "club captain" who should fight and claw for the shirt and badge.

GOAL 1 - doesn't even challenge or jump to try and win the ball. Same can be said for Danny Collins.

GOAL 2 - no where near the ball on his sliding challenge no

GOAL 3 - ball watching again, no challenge or closing down and doesn't even try to stick a foot out to stop the ball going past him.

In my opinion, this guy is on the same list as Gjisbert Bos, Luke Rooney, Miles Addison, Tom Eaves etc. the list of former player you just drop your head and shake as to why they ever played for us and/or are even professional footballers.

Man up Steve and get this lad dropped. He is stealing a wage.

He is a tremendous excuse for a footballer on what 5 grand a week. I see players at 5 a side week in week out who are better than him, as for Collins I'm faster than him and have a pronounced limp. Worst 2 centre backs as far as I can remember- at least Guy Branston had fight! Ledesma as I predicted will sulk when he's playing a bit part, Maguire is clearly doing too, must be hard when you see your striker time and again miss & you think, "I'd have stuck that away".

The heart & soul has gone from the team, I really don't think Evans has the dressing room, unless the board react, and remember I suggested JFH, its one conclusion this season.

And i did as well Ex, but Burton are doing well in Lg1 at the moment, Burton could be in the championship at our expense.!!!

Fulhams 3rd goal was the worst piece of marking I have ever seen. At one point in the build up Halford is stood next to the player who scores. However just before the ball comes over the Fulham lad just walks backwards and Halford is totally unaware. This gives him acres of room to stroke the ball home.

It was abysmal.

What worries me more is that Evans didn't mention it afterwards although he mentions defensive errors for the other goals.

Great piece of work chrissando.

SE does actually mention the centre backs as being at fault. I think he is close to pulling the trigger.

You forgot to put Bobby Ball and Cocoa the Clowns name in the list.

Also in all three shots Rotherham have double the number of men in the penalty area

If we are in League 1 next season then a lot of the players at the club will be leaving.

Quite a few are out of contract and it will be all change again.

If we go down and the accounts are in the black then the Chairman should be able to give the manager a decent playing budget, that budget does not always guarantee promotion we all know that fact.

Disappointed in a lot of the signings, wont mention them by name as I don't like to criticise individual players in public.

Too many players have been abused at our club, Kevin Watson, the young lad Ryan Taylor and others.

By all means have your own opinions nothing wrong with that.

All I ask from my team is that when they cross the white line they give 100% effort and show enthusiasm now and again.

They are picked as a team so should play as a team.

Let`s hope the manager can pull more than one rabbit out of the hat.

Edited for poor grammar.

Tiger, i am the same, once they cross the white line i expect 100%, and i have defended SE on many occasions, but Saturday was poor, i make a lot of sacrifices to travel 260 miles round trip to see my team, i am a season ticket holder and really enjoy coming to the NYS.

But something has to give, what that is has to be done by the men at the top, TS with SE, and SE with his team, pooh rolls downhill as they say.

We are where we are because of the team selections, so look at playing people in their preferred positions, Maguire up front for a start.

Personally I never boo the team or individuals and never leave before the final whistle. There was something character building about sitting through the seventh added minute of that tosh at the weekend. But if someone getting several thousand pounds a week can't at the very least do the bare basics and put a shift in then I don't mind expressing my opinion. Some were poor but at least tried and credit to them for that at least . Derbyshire for example had a stinker but at least he tried and took some responsibility for the pen albeit that he missed it. Green struggled at times but never gave up. Some experienced professionals however let their heads go down after 15 minutes and hid in a manner that would have been disappointing had a kid done it. Unacceptable.

It's been so disappointing to see the heads go down. For some reason they didn't against QPR but every other game it's been really obvious.

That should never happen and if it does it should be very rarely but this season it's already been just awful.

Pure speculation but I think it's the centre backs that are causing the lack of fight and of course roos.

Roos is to blame for a few mistakes but how is he to blame for the lack of fight on Saturday?

I just hope SE doesn't become stubborn as he was with Shearer, another 6 or 7 games with Halford and we will be cut adrift big time
