Letting the Gaffer Know he doesnt like playing up front alone.
Quite down about the performance and lack of team ethic.
I was intrigued by this interview. Matt is a passionate man, which makes him more prone to reflect the emotions of those around him. It seems to me that the dressing room is still pulling together and is desperate for the evolution to quicken. He does however cast a wry smile at how that will happen will a nod towards SE's proclivity to tinker and the lack of investment.
I also however believed him when he said he believed it would get better.
The concern is the dressing room is clearly unhappy-we have seen this before-and SE has used this as a catalyst for change. Who will be scapegoat and who will be SE's knights of the table?
It cant be pretty in that dressing room at present but there is definitely some fight going on to establish the real crusaders. I just hope SE can harness it again. This group is quite different than previous groups.
One thing I know is that the group dynamic if properly managed is a great vehicle for change. Teams go stagnant when the dynamic falls away. The dynamic has to be fed and the only way to feed it is by creating constant change and challenge but just enough or the group splinters...
I thought there was a lot to be read into in that interview, and I'll also bet the perhaps Evans might not have been over enthused at the sheer honesty of it?
