No team in the Championship or maybe in any division has ever used the tactics I was embarrassed to see last night...bang the ball over to the left side at every and I mean every opportunity.
I have supported Evans but I was truly shocked and I sensed that the players are also bemused.
No way could Black be responsible for hoof ball, it's Evans...Black does the get into diagonals formation and move like a crab.
I am calling for an INTERVENTION......Come on Tony, this is your time to show if you have the bottle to stop this.
Its not about where we are in the table for me, this is about having some pride..We just cannot play in this style...totally unacceptable.
Apparently Defences were on top last night. Well of course they were - they had nothing to defend. I'm not sure about an intervention K, more like a complete managerial/tactical overhaul. It can't get any worse. But then again, what do we know!?
Well, as Glenn says the only meaningful intervention would be a managerial overhaul. Won't happen. Any new manager would want some real investment. TS will just let things be and hope something turns up.
Ridgeway - not sure that investment is our main problem, although a creative midfielder and a striker wouldn't go amiss.I reckon we have some reasonable talent but it is being stifled and frustrated by utterly ridiculous tactics.
From what I have seen so far, there are some pretty ordinary sides in the Championship and the current RUFC squad, managed properly, could hold it's own and stay well above the relegation zone.
I would pay to hear the discussion between Evans, Raynor and Black as they stood on the touchline watching yet another high ball sail over Bowery's head. I bet it didn't include some of the robust analysis that I heard from those sat around me in the West Stand!
I agree they were shocking, in evans interview he says that him and the staff (the four marx brothers) noticed that JCH had improved in training so he went on the bench. My question is when you have a player that isn't performing in training what do Groucho, harpo, Chico and Zeppo actually do about it?
I wasn't at last nights game (working) but from what I've read it was utter dross. It's refreshing to hear that at least some fans don't think the sun shines out of the fat controllers arse. Half decent at a lower league club with a good budget but absolutely clueless as a Championship boss, he'll be gone by Christmas, but unfortunately so will RUFC as a Championship club!!!!
I know we are stuttering at the moment, but the reality is Evans is the best manager we can attract, and the players we are attracting are the only ones that will play under Evans or can afford.
If we had say Jimmy Floyd here then yes i think we would attract better players for same money, kudos of the players previous career etc etc and for one our strikers may start scoring more often.
But the reality is, seabed for the time being - moving away from the filter feeders to a more mid water position of stability.

Worcester, don't get me wrong - I like and agree with a lot of your stuff. But that last sentence? I hear it from a lot of people but where's the mechanism? What moves us from the bottom to mid-table stability? I just don't see it.
Exeter we may get loan players in but, and it's a big but, can Evans identify which players will improve our team. I'm not sure he knows what style he would like the players to adopt. We have white a fast winger but he isn't allowed to play wide and get lime on his boots. We lump it up front without a big target man. We play a forward who likes to run onto the ball out wide and lump it up to his head. Surely if playing Bowery and Derbyshire we could do with two wide players to stretch the defence and whip in the crosses and then with the back 4 stretched it would allow the midfield to either get forward or play the ball through to the wingers on the diagonal or the forwards to run onto. But we appear to do none of this but just lump it forward to a lone cf. we look to have signed random players with no game plan. So yes we may get the loan players but will Mr Evans be lucky enough to stumble across a system that will work?
Not sure Fliker. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the new 4-2-3-1, variations of it are even taught at youth 7 a side level, and having left and right footers on opposite sides etc. It does appear we have the players to utilise this but they aren't being 'utilised'
I also wouldn't have Derbyshire up on his own, but then I wouldn't pick him either.
Also what on earth has happened to Thorpe, surely he's injured?
Thorpe should be used IMO very highly rated at MU. Had a bad debut and is paying the price for that. God knows what's up with Rawson but he too, needs to play. In goal perhaps
think it**** everybody full on in the chops, What's happened to our team play compared to last year, yes players in and out but this is going to get bad very soon if we dont pull over sleeves up and get stuck in at least. we look nothing like the team that beat Mainz just a few weeks ago. if SE is losing the dressing room this early its going to be a long winter. next game for me is Norwich two wins by this time next week would be great. if NOT ? :(
