Half Time

Rotherham United 1 Cambridge United 0

Bowery  45+1

One goal lead. Will that be enough to see off Cambridge United?

A wee bit more analysis

Roos 7 - didn't have much to do in honesty but made a terrific low save when called upon.
Buxton 7 - effective defensively, good going forward and put in a couple of decent balls.
Halford 5 - Not good, another poor back pass almost cost us again!
Collins 7 - Better of the two centre backs last night but that's not saying much.
Newell 7 - great cross for the goal but defensively suspect at times.
Ledesma - 6 poor for the most part but tried to be creative on the edge of the box even if didn't come off for him last night.
Smallwood 7 - Effective but still no where near the man he was last season.
Frecklington 7 - partnered well with Smallwood but we need him further forward.
White 7 - Poor first half but some good penetrating runs in the second actually had a go at their limited defence, instrumental in us actually getting behind them on several occasions.
Bowery 6 - scored that's about all you can say, didn't win a single header against their centre backs and at one point left it to Mat Derbyshire to both win the ball with a header and chase down his own knock on while he stood and watched - lazy ****er.
Derbyshire 9 - deservedly MoM, ran his nads off but did it with intelligence, running into the channels and stretching their defence - great performance deserving of a goal.

Roos still don't have confidence in him, to big a risk at Forrest play Collin.

Defence apart from Buxton who needed game, again will get murdered at Forrest, Halford that pass straight to them 2nd half, that wasn't the only, should have been taken off. Collins can't see him up against championship players. Need Mattock fit for sat'

Ledesma, White won't play sat' Bowery didn't do enough to play sat'

Newell going forward, Frecks, Derbyshire & D. Ward were the positives.

Thanks, S8 and T71. Hm, let's hope for better things at Forest.

That's well spotted. I should have proof read it first. That's very lax on my part.
