Championship Transfer Activity

Good review in the Yorkshire Post today about Championship Transfer Activity at

http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/barnsley/transfer-window-dealings-the-yorkshire-clubs-who-have-spent-big-this-summer-1-7379719

There are going to be some very disappointed punters at the end of the season when these massive investments don't result in promotion. Rotherham don't get a mention which pleases me no end. Imagine the satisfaction in finishing above any of these cash rich/irresponsible clubs with a team that has been put together on a sensible budget by a management team who have shown guile, know-how and persistence in their transfer dealings. Credit to TS, SE and the team for putting together a great looking squad and for keeping our feet well and truly on the ground. Now let's show the Championship that there's more to success than simply getting the wallet out!!

It's interesting trying to compare a signing on fee to a free plus wages. Who knows the split btw the two. There are always punts on one or two that are unproven that don't materialise and JCH and Bowery look like clangers to me.

Same will be true of several signings elsewhere- just look at mcormack.

It's hard to see rhodes and downing failing though.

Wednesday, brentford and Bristol will be interesting to keep an eye on and hull have not flexed any muscle yet.

QPR and Burnley have dome some buisness but I fancy burnley to stand out from that pack.

Wolves are my outside tip.
