Queen's Nazi salute.

What do people reckon? Personally children will mimic their elders so no big deal. However shows some insight into their elders like the Queen Mother, makes you wonder where the natural sympathies laid.

And who was the person holding the camera? Has that been revealed?
And it wasn't the butler whodunnit.

You have to wonder if Hitler had won and a Mosely dictatorship supported by Edward was in place where the Queen Mother had have been. On the balcony of Buck Palace with her arm out?

I am surprised that no-one has mentioned modern day Germany and Angela Merkel playing a pivotal role in the Eurozone.

Germany are now pulling the strings!

How the hell have we allowed that to happen?

It's a conspiracy I tell you, a conspiracy!

Indeed I am also saddened by the fact that if there was one country in the world who would understand the consequences of debt and extreme austerity and the disaster that it can lead to it would be the Germans.

Well I personally think that it is a historically inaccurate non story.

The actual rise of Hitler and the nazis started in earnest in 1934 / 35. The movie was made in 1933. At this time they were probably also doing the Tarzan call invented by Jonny Weissmuller and had a Gollywog toy. Atrocities by the nazis were all in the future when this was filmed.

History will look at our involvement in the Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria regions as us being the aggressor when this country becomes a Muslim majority and they get to write history their way.

Perspective.

Not sure I totally agree heman, Mussolini had been in power for a while and people were aware of Fascism and its creed. Also Hitler's rise to power was a litany of violence and hatred. Edward remained a sympathiser for years after. There were many who understood the evil of the Nazis and it was there for people to see. Though I agree the full extent could hardly have been imagined.

You also can't seriously believe that the country will ever have a Muslim majority.

I'll bet Henry the Eighth has been turning inside his tomb for a number of years now.

Remember what Henry did about Catholicism? He wasn't going to bow down to Rome.

When did the 'Hitler Salute' come to the fore? 1933 seems really early - he'd only just made chancellor at that time.

We all know the queen is too young, but questions need answering why her parents would in jest or not copy an emerging foreign political powers' token salute.

If its something deeply ingrained in the royal family due to their German parentage, that is deeply worrying from a monarch who publicly has always stated to sit on the fence politically. Its even more concerning that the only signature the same on all of the EU treaties, despite different PM's, that has slowly handed our laws and powers to Brussels is that of the queen. People might say when her parliament decides she is 'forced' to sign, but I think that's all BS.

The Nazi salute was originally the Roman salute reinvented by Mussolini. Mussolini gained power in 1922 so the salute was well known in the 20's. The Nazis adopted the fascist salute early in their formation and had been using it for a number of years. Years before he became chancellor the Nazis were well know for mass rallies and organised terror against their opponents. Any one with half a brain could have seen what the Nazis were about, Churchill for all his faults certainly did.

When World War Two came to an end notice how there was a softening of the wave.

Photographs taken years apart. Uncanny or part of the royal training? Look at the thumb position on Elizabeth's  and Kate's

right hands.

I do genuinely believe that there will be a Muslim majority in Britain. Maybe not in my lifetime but it seems logical.

A typical non Muslim family has one or two children whereas a Muslim family has four or more.

The influx of migrants and are predominantly Muslim.

So logically as our demographic shrinks and theirs grows it seems inevitable.

At the moment, Heman, there is an ongoing battle for the leadership of the Labour Party.

Jeremy Corbyn is the current favourite to become Labour leader.

Tony Blair does not want him as the new leader.

The Establishment are very worried about Jeremy Corbyn. All the more reason to vote for Jeremy Corbyn.

Heman. On that same ethos you wanna watch Idiocracy. Although its a comedy and tongue in cheek, its basis is a very scary prospect!

Anyhting Blair doesn't want has to be ok! Seriously Heman I think there is more to power than numbers, I can't see the west giving an inch to a major power becoming Islamic, though as you say the numbers agrument has a logic to it. But things also change. Surely the population in the UK at some point will hit critical mass.

Barack Hussein Obama II is the current President of the USA.

Though Obama is a practicing Christian he was chiefly raised by his mother and her Christian parents, his father Barack Obama, Sr., with whom he lived only as a baby, was a Muslim-turned-atheist, and his stepfather Lolo Soetoro with whom he lived during his early childhood was a nominal Muslim.

Personally I am a born again atheist, all religions feed fear and ignorance and is my belief that religion holds back the human race.

Politicians feed fear too. Blair waged war on terrorism. Cameron is now campaigning against  the growth of extremism.

I don't see much of that in my local supermarket. There is the odd bit of trolley rage at Christmas time and a stand off with

shopping bags.  But hey, some people are unable to behave in public places.
