Matchday prices at the Rustbucket (Hillsborough)

Cheapest ticket for opening home game of the season v Bristol City.

£39.00 for the Kop.

Would imagine City fans will therefore be charged £40.00.

This game is classed as a CAT B game - there are 2 higher categories believe it or not.

Be like a ghost town this season.....
God only knows what they'll charge us???

Can see £45-50. Easy decision stay away. If everyone from every team did the same it would send out a message, can you imagine if they get similar gates to last season not only will they make a fortune but every other chairman will be thinking mmmmmm

Apart from illness and the odd badly timed holiday, I don't think I have missed a Millers match home or away for over sixty years. But I am absolutely certain that I will miss our match at Hillsbrough by choice. There is no way that I will pay the prices being quoted for what I am sure will be categorised as a category A match. The price I am reliably informed will be over 50 pounds. I have no intention of subscribing to Mr Chansiris delusions of grandeur, with those prices he seems to think they are in the Premier League already. Dream on Wednesday but not with my money in your back pocket to fuel your delusions.

scary prices and outrageous.

It worries me looking at those prices. The lack of concern for the majority of individuals and familys it breathtaking.

21 quid for a pay on the day and still 16 quid with a membership (cost?).

disgusting.

I would actually be forced to change mine and the kids/mates attendance behaviour based on that.

Mort to the point, would I want to support a club that set those prices. I dont think I would you know. Thats sad and shows how out of touch it has all got.

Bradford slash their season ticket prices & will be playing in front of 19000 every week. The Chairman says they needed 17 for it to not make a difference if they charged standard rates with the amount that historically sold. Think of all the pies, merchandise etc, not to mention the long term effect it will have getting more locals engaged.

Wednesday meanwhile double their prices & will be playing in front of a taxi full and their dog. Other downfall is Radio Sheff's 90% of Owls who ring up who haven't been will now increase to 98% while participation to the phone ins will now increase from 75% to 95% since they seem to like to give airtime to these people over fans of other teams that have actually been to the game.

They deserve financial suicide and all that entails- no sympathy

Agreed Ex, Here is the problem with a 100% ownership, no board influence at all, so what he says counts, I.E. a dictatorship.

Whilst i feel no sympathy for Wednesday as a club, i do feel sorry for the fans, yes 13,000 have taken up the offer of season tickets but i dont think they will average over 20k this season. Be more like 17K.

I know that ticket income is crucial for a club, but surely the commercial side will also suffer, less people attending means less in the club shop etc. Why buy a shirt for a club you never can afford to go and watch.

I am a football fan and agree that some parts of the game are not recognisable in a business sense, but i do believe its to our advantage.

Some wayward fans may come across to us by default because of the price, and looking at the squad, they wont be dissapointed either.

I'm not sure that I would want an owl to turn his back on his club and support ours. Hardly born a Miller is he?

I think based on our fans deserting during the DVS games that people will simply not go to live matches.
