Bloody hell, that's impressive! It's a good job they've got a bigger stadium than us! Can you imagine the chaos if we'd got 18,000 season ticket applications?

We could get 18000 if we had the capacity and the season ticket prices were 149 quid. Not really backing them, just taking advantage of a deal that means 6.5 quid per match.

Great effort all round though. Bradford and Swansea (who have discounted all away tickets next season) leading the way.

Imagine all the new fans old and young that this will bring in and get hooked for years to come.

It would be interesting to compare relaitve prices to earnings that our fathers used to pay. Maybe it makes more economic sense to sell em cheap and stack em high.

Bradford City have been doing these sort of deals for quite some time.

Good luck to them and I`m sure our club have looked at a similar idea but it just wouldn`t work with us.

Their adult season ticket is priced at £149 we would have to pitch our prices a lot higher.

At the end of the day the revenue will be around the same whichever way you go.

I am sure the revenue would be similar but its about numbers and the future and I would like to think making the game accessible to the masses. Makes perfect sense to make the game affordable and future generations support. Well done Bradford.

The revenue is actually much greater. They have busted previous targets and look set to raise 2 million in revenue.

Then add on the food, drink and merchandise. ..

18000 not only guarantees their largest average attendances since the 1920s but puts them above many clubs with traditionally bigger attendances.

Then there's the potential growth effect that sickly mentions. Not only that but there the match day atmosphere.

All in all it has upped their recruitment drive too.

No down side at all.

It's he future for all but the 'massive'.

For football to survive this needs to be done. I went to see the super 15 rugby final last week 40,000 sell out, cost me 17 pound. Tickets sold out on 59 seconds. Affordable entertainment took my 8 year old an experience he will always remember. How much would it have cost to see the FA cup final or Euro Championship?

I was comparing our pre-tax turnover with Bradfords.

They have been doing deals since 2007,buy one get one free etc.

Well done and good luck to them but it would not work for us,not at present.

Bradfords budget this coming season is similar to last season mainly due to cutting season ticket prices by £50 per adult.

The bonus will be the attendances and the atmosphere.

Only time will tell hopefully they will get promotion next season otherwise they will have to do another ticket deal.

By the way I`m all for cheaper ticket prices.
