Done 2 mins research. If we keep him fit sounds like a great signing. 1/3 another two to come in..

If he is better than Richardson it's a good signing.

Sorry is it me? Uninspired, how is a 31yr old full back value for money? He'll play until a better loanee becomes available. Where's the long term solutions here? We need full backs with pace as they face lightening quick wide players and to supplement our pedestrian centre halfs. Im really really concerned already. This season was always going to be more tough & I'm yet to see us do anything about it

It is a most unusual situation. Lewis McGugan would have been a better choice. Have the Millers got the wrong player?

 No. Perfectly reasonable.

On the face of it they dont seem to be any more progressive than last years signings. However, in the same breath that isnt such a bad thing. From last years signings we did get a core of decent players who contributed to our survival; Green, Richardson, Derbyshire, ward, Broadfoot, so, if we get another half dozen then we will have progressed and Evo will have built steadily on the previous season.

Think we have to stay positive, a lot of people actually rate him, lets see who else we get.

He can supposedly play right back, left back, centre half, centre mid and right midfield.

So that's 5 of our new signings we were promised.

Hopefully he'll be a solid right back but if he was a squad player and only played 2 games in each of those 5 positions, that's 5 loanees we haven't needed to bring in.

Agree with staying positive. Yes they are slightly older than we would like but are solid championship defenders with many owls fans disappointed that they have gone. And with no fees paid still leaves us with funds to strengthen. We could have splurged out on two full backs then had nothing remaining in the bank for other areas. We still need a keeper, center back and right sided player. I will wait until the start of the season, give it a few games and then decide on our signings. I for one can't remember watching any of our new signings so how can I be concerned yet. It all depends if our new players fit in with our style. How often do players swap teams and either play better or worse because of the teams style. Let's wait and see what happens and not start knocking befor a balls even kicked.

Any news on a new keeper? With Cech going to Arsenal, will this free Martinez up for a full season loan?

Is there anybody else out there - Keeper wise that is LOL

Is anybody out there?

One of my first posts on Millers Banter  told the tale of my visit to a séance.

I may have to go again to ask the other side about the Millers' future.
