Do we have a legitimate worry about the scale and pace of integration with these figures.
One thing that concerns me is how when demographics change so fundamentally it appears to cause an upsurge in extremism and counter extremism, or, extremism of another sort.
It is easy to be tolerant and peaceful when the balance of motives is significantly tipped one way, but hard when there is an equal share of concerns.
I wonder what others feel about the pace of change and the ability of our prized democratic system to cope with it. Look to Egypt for one example of how it can topple into an unrepresentative but some say necessary state controlled solution via the elite of government and armed forces. Syria of course is another.

Contained in the article is another important issue concerning migration and the demographic age change in the UK.
The net migration issue seems to be helpful economically, which in turn helps to pay for the increase in elderly care due to an increasing elderly population. Without migration it is argued the pace of progress is slowed and the country gets poorer.
So, what are the pros and cons of the net plus migration issues and increased birth rates?
