So split tickets, get a Shf to Derby return £11.30, then buy a Derby to St Pancras advance fare£ 41.50 saving £7.20, you buy before hand and pick up from the ticket machine anywhere in the uk.
You dont get off the train at derby either way btw, just find the booked seat you have to/from Derby @ Sheffield/St Pancras and enjoy the scenery.
East Coast had the better offers im afraid, looking at Hull Trains just in case.
Hull Trains website advance fares £32.00 !!!! so with railcard under £20 return Bargain.
And you wonder why the MML is failing passengers with fares like above.
