Keeping it quiet

I recently had a round of golf with a gentleman who through sponsorship has connections with our beloved millers, he let me know of a potential signing that we are in talks with. However as much as we all want to know gossip rumour and speculation, surely if we know something we should remain quiet until the paperwork is signed. Yes it is frustrating not knowing but surely it's better than other teams knowing our interest or do they know and should we just blurt out the name.

You can bet your bottom dollar that the players agent already knows all that needs to be known. I doubt anything you say would alter that.

However, only you can judge if it's a breach of your relationship to share it.

Just blurt it out, what difference is it going to make. Or give us a clue, is it a fee, position, club. Its like waiting for xmas.

 So negative.

No player is bigger than the club. Hence, Messi would love to come here.

At least tell us if it is something to get excited about or not. Plus is it likely to go ahead or just a daft pipe dream.

Why post such rubbish?...In the unlikely event that you have some interesting info then post it...if not ( much more likely ) then cut the lawn.

Speak up Flicker. You laid the foundation and left without saying when you'd be back .

Sorry all I'm away at the moment so haven't logged in. The player I've been told about is a fullback we have had on loan previous but now has a contract with another club so a fee would be involved. If you have guessed the correct one then I'm sure you will be delighted as I am. However we are not the only club interested Bristol are also keen to have him. Think I've dropped enough in there for you.

Why not just say Tavernier instead of this childish nonsense?

I don't have any inside info but only need a modi*** of football intelligence to know that there is no way Tavs would come to us if Bristol wanted him.

Double money...Sunday mornings walking on the Downs...great sophisticated night life...posh eats in Clifton..a few lemon tops at the Coronation tap...or he could come to a shyte hole like Rotherham...Yeh!...great information!

if its a straight punt between the two then its no competition is it, but, tavs for me could do a good job in a millers shirt.

I would take both Tavs and Hunt, Tavs can play on the right of midfield or left back as well as right back, just the versatility we need.
