Nice interview from BP, but I wanted RS to push a little harder.
It seems to me that the club decided not to give out lengthy contracts after wembley and the reality of championship football had been realised. No doubt there were promises re contracts (are these the rewards BP refers to or are we to suspect other things were promised), but they simply could not be delivered. Fast forward...lots of new players arrive and some depart. BP and others feel under pressure (none more so than when Ledesma arrived and Morgs struggles to hold a first team place all season-pure observation). BP and Morgs want a resolution but none is offered until safety is assured and when it does arrive its less than they want based on what they know or think they know of others contracts. BP alludes to this in the interview when he describes being down the pecking order. I think there must be some things BP is not being straight about, or perhaps its just his point of view, but why wouldnt you sign a deal for a championship club you 'love' when you believe you are good enough and arent guaranteed championship football elsewhere (his words).

Smart move by Evans - players have a value and both exceeded that in the negotiations hence the swift 'goodbye and good luck' from the club. Onwards and upwards.
